Under general supervision, uses knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to support AI enablement and process improvement across Finance. Assists Finance teams in identifying business needs/pain points, documenting processes, analyzing issues, and implementing practical improvements using approved AI, automation, productivity, and reporting tools. Guidance is provided to perform varied assignments and recommend solutions to moderately complex Finance process and adoption issues. Regular contact with internal customers is required to obtain and clarify information, support testing and training, and promote consistent use of improved processes and tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works with Finance users to identify business needs, process pain points, manual effort, data issues, and opportunities to improve accuracy, timeliness, consistency, or user experience.
Analyzes processes and issues, identifies root causes and downstream reporting or control impacts, and recommends practical improvements with guidance.
Assists with gathering business requirements and validating that proposed process, AI, automation, reporting, or documentation changes address the underlying Finance need.
Uses approved AI, automation, productivity, reporting, and tracking tools to analyze information, test use cases, and support process improvements.
Supports responsible AI adoption by documenting use cases, testing outputs, maintaining human-review expectations, gathering feedback, and preparing practical training or guidance.
Prepares process documentation, analyses, job aids, presentations, and communications for Finance users and leaders.
Gathers feedback and metrics to evaluate adoption and support continuous improvement.
Collaborates with Finance, technology, risk, and other business partners as needed.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Fundamental accounting and business operations concepts.
Process analysis, continuous improvement, data analysis, and reporting concepts.
Approved AI, automation, and productivity tools, or the ability to learn specific applications and responsible-use practices.
Skill in
Analyzing Finance processes, identifying pain points, and recommending practical improvements.
Reviewing and organizing financial, operational, and process information.
Documenting processes, requirements, procedures, and decisions.
Using standard office, spreadsheet, presentation, collaboration, AI, automation, reporting, and tracking applications (Alteryx knowledge preferred).
Preparing clear analyses, job aids, presentations, and communications.
Ability to
Learn Finance processes and approved technology tools and apply them to specific assignments.
Identify business needs, ask thoughtful questions, and recommend solutions to moderately complex process issues.
Evaluate AI or automation outputs, recognize risks or gaps, and maintain appropriate human review.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Collaborate effectively and provide a high level of customer service.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
Typically zero (0) to two (2) years’ experience.
OR ~
Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human Resources.
