This role sits close to front-office trading technology and focuses on building, integrating, and improving systems connected to Charles River, Adroit, and Databricks. You will work with internal technology teams, business users, and external vendors to deliver reliable, scalable solutions in a regulated environment.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>What&nbsp;you&nbsp;will&nbsp;do</strong></div><div>•&nbsp;Design,&nbsp;build,&nbsp;test,&nbsp;and&nbsp;support&nbsp;components&nbsp;across&nbsp;trading&nbsp;and&nbsp;investment&nbsp;management&nbsp;systems.</div><div>•&nbsp;Develop&nbsp;and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;applications,&nbsp;services,&nbsp;and&nbsp;integrations&nbsp;using&nbsp;Python,&nbsp;.NET,&nbsp;Angular,&nbsp;SQL,&nbsp;APIs,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Databricks.</div><div>•&nbsp;Build&nbsp;and&nbsp;optimise&nbsp;data&nbsp;flows,&nbsp;database&nbsp;objects,&nbsp;and&nbsp;reporting&nbsp;logic&nbsp;to&nbsp;improve&nbsp;performance,&nbsp;data&nbsp;quality,&nbsp;and&nbsp;operational&nbsp;visibility.</div><div>•&nbsp;Work&nbsp;directly&nbsp;with&nbsp;traders,&nbsp;technology&nbsp;stakeholders,&nbsp;and&nbsp;vendors&nbsp;to&nbsp;turn&nbsp;business&nbsp;requirements&nbsp;into&nbsp;practical&nbsp;technical&nbsp;solutions.</div><div>•&nbsp;Investigate&nbsp;production&nbsp;issues,&nbsp;fix&nbsp;defects,&nbsp;and&nbsp;improve&nbsp;resilience&nbsp;across&nbsp;integrated&nbsp;platforms.</div><div>•&nbsp;Follow&nbsp;strong&nbsp;engineering&nbsp;practices&nbsp;for&nbsp;coding,&nbsp;testing,&nbsp;documentation,&nbsp;change&nbsp;control,&nbsp;and&nbsp;deployment&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;regulated&nbsp;financial&nbsp;environment.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>What&nbsp;you&nbsp;need&nbsp;to&nbsp;bring</strong></div><div>•&nbsp;Experience&nbsp;as&nbsp;a&nbsp;software&nbsp;engineer&nbsp;or&nbsp;developer&nbsp;in&nbsp;financial&nbsp;services,&nbsp;ideally&nbsp;within&nbsp;asset&nbsp;management,&nbsp;buy-side&nbsp;trading,&nbsp;or&nbsp;capital&nbsp;markets.</div><div>•&nbsp;Strong&nbsp;hands-on&nbsp;development&nbsp;skills&nbsp;in&nbsp;Python,&nbsp;.NET,&nbsp;Angular,&nbsp;SQL,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Databricks.</div><div>•&nbsp;Practical&nbsp;experience&nbsp;building&nbsp;and&nbsp;supporting&nbsp;integrations&nbsp;using&nbsp;APIs,&nbsp;including&nbsp;REST&nbsp;and&nbsp;WebSockets.&nbsp;SOAP&nbsp;experience&nbsp;is&nbsp;useful&nbsp;but&nbsp;not&nbsp;essential.</div><div>•&nbsp;Strong&nbsp;SQL&nbsp;capability,&nbsp;including&nbsp;query&nbsp;writing,&nbsp;optimisation,&nbsp;stored&nbsp;procedures,&nbsp;and&nbsp;schema&nbsp;design.</div><div>•&nbsp;Good&nbsp;understanding&nbsp;of&nbsp;trading&nbsp;workflows,&nbsp;market&nbsp;data,&nbsp;and&nbsp;order/execution&nbsp;management&nbsp;concepts.&nbsp;Experience&nbsp;with&nbsp;Charles&nbsp;River&nbsp;or&nbsp;similar&nbsp;OMS&nbsp;platforms&nbsp;is&nbsp;highly&nbsp;valuable.</div><div>•&nbsp;Strong&nbsp;problem-solving&nbsp;skills,&nbsp;clear&nbsp;communication,&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;ability&nbsp;to&nbsp;work&nbsp;with&nbsp;both&nbsp;technical&nbsp;and&nbsp;non-technical&nbsp;stakeholders.</div><div>• Comfort working in an environment where priorities can shift, vendor dependencies exist, and delivery quality matters.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Reality&nbsp;check</strong></div><div>• This is more engineering-led than pure integration/support, a blend of greenfield + integration (not just fixing systems).</div><div>•&nbsp;You&nbsp;will&nbsp;likely&nbsp;be&nbsp;working&nbsp;across&nbsp;legacy&nbsp;and&nbsp;modern&nbsp;technologies&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;time.</div><div>• Domain context matters. Candidates without financial markets or trading systems exposure may find the learning curve steep.</div>
