Salary: $55,000 - $60,000
Location: Onsite in Jacksonville or Rockford
What work will you perform?
Cargo Net recently reported a 57% year-over-year increase in straight cargo theft (it’s physically taken) and 1220% increase in strategic cargo theft (you are “tricked” into giving them the cargo).
We are hiring for a senior level analyst to assist with reducing liability and cost related cargo theft by conducting investigations and determining the root cause of network-wide fraudulent incidents. Your analysis will help inform how you educate and raise awareness for combating fraudulent activity throughout the network. If your strengths are in data driven decision-making and confidently having difficult conversations with empathy then this is the role for you.
Essential Responsibilities:
Through analysis identify methods to reduce liability and cost
Communicate data driven analysis of current risk environment to variety of audiences across the network
Provide detailed analytical reports of incidents that can be used to create higher awareness
Analyze trends including demographics and carrier/customer
Lead investigations and determine root cause of fraud/theft incident.
Lead discussions with other departments surrounding fraud/theft incidents.
File appropriate reports.
Collaborate with law enforcement to access their data to improve fraud mitigation efforts.
Assign private investigators and work with law enforcement.
Review reports and invoices for complete and accurate billing/information
Initiate corrective action and prevent reoccurrence when applicable.
Review history and recommend appropriate action to management.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Three (3) years of experience in fraud analysis, law enforcement or cargo loss prevention
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Two (2) years of fraud analysis or investigative experience
Two (2) years of customer service experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Excel and Word
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to make decisions independently
Excellent organization and communication skills
