What You Can Expect
The IT Technician performs a combination of the following technical IT support activities with minimal supervision:
Works with a team and effectively across team boundaries and organizational levels to provide customer-first technical support for key IT assets, including end-user assets, networks, security systems, communication systems, etc. Shall provide support in-person or virtually. Occasionally provide after hour and weekend support. Understands, executes and helps define IT process and standards, including change/incident management, software installation, configuring, etc. Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure Zimmer Biomet information assets are protected. May be required to lift/move technical equipment. Applies principles, concepts and practices of the ZBS Competency Model at the Technician level.Â

Principal Duties:Â
Â
- Provide IT support to internal employees across the enterprise
- Configuring laptops, implementing Cyber security provision, Configuring Anti-virus on laptops
- IT Asset & Inventory Management: Track, maintain, and order inventory of office supplies and IT equipment (laptops, peripherals, monitors)
- Vendor Management: Liaison with vendors for office equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Fully document IT support issues and their resolution for increased team efficiency in meeting customer needs
- Provide direct customer support for Zimmer IT assets
- Execute and help define IT processes and standardsÂ

Your Background
- Bachelorâs degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
- Technical IT certifications preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in computer maintenance and support or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Microsoft Certified Professional, such as Administer Active Directory Domain Services , Microsoft Certified Professional: Exchange Server
- Advanced knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu configuration
- Experience in automation bash shell scripting, Powershell
- Expertise in SaaS suchas Jira ,Slack , Teams configuration
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.Â
