The intern will work alongside process development, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop <strong>AI‑enabled decision‑support tools</strong> that improve knowledge access, trend identification, and scientific insight.</p> <p>This role is focused on <strong>responsible, explainable AI</strong> in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyze structured and unstructured CMC data (development reports, batch data, stability data)</li> <li>Develop AI‑enabled tools for: <ul> <li>Knowledge retrieval and synthesis</li> <li>Process trend and drift detection</li> <li>Pattern recognition in deviations or investigations</li> </ul> </li> <li>Translate scientific and process problems into data‑driven approaches</li> <li>Build and document prototypes using Python and standard data science libraries</li> <li>Partner with DS, DP, and Quality SMEs to validate outputs</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a degree in: <ul> <li>Chemical Engineering</li> <li>Biochemical Engineering</li> <li>Biotechnology</li> <li>Data Science</li> <li>Applied Statistics or related field</li> </ul> </li> <li>Working knowledge of: <ul> <li>Python (pandas, numpy, basic visualization)</li> <li>Data analysis concepts</li> </ul> </li> <li>Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills</li> <li>Ability to understand and work within regulated environments</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Exposure to: <ul> <li>Biopharmaceutical manufacturing or development</li> <li>Statistics or machine learning coursework</li> <li>Natural language processing (NLP)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience with: <ul> <li>Jupyter notebooks</li> <li>Data visualization libraries</li> </ul> </li> <li>Interest in AI governance, traceability, and explainability</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Gain</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hands‑on experience applying AI in real‑world CMC settings</li> <li>Exposure to Drug Substance and Drug Product development</li> <li>Understanding of Quality and regulatory expectations for AI</li> <li>Opportunity to deliver a <strong>visible, high‑impact project</strong></li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>The hourly pay range for this position is listed below.
