About the opportunity
Graduates are an integral part of Mercy Health’s Commitment to develop our future workforce and as such, we welcome you to join our team to provide compassionate and responsive care to people in need.
Our programs are designed to support whilst making the transition from student to registered midwife within a supportive and welcoming environment. The aim is to promote educational opportunities to graduates as they consolidate their theoretical and clinical skills. This is a structured program with a comprehensive orientation, paid professional development days, and debriefing sessions which are supported by a dedicated learning team.
There is an opportunity in this program to join the North Metro and Mitchell Local Health Services Network Graduate Program collaboration.

- Applicants must be registered and apply via the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) Graduate Nursing and Midwifery Program Match and rank Mercy Health in their preferences.

- Letter of application stating preferred hospital location, areas of clinical interest, preferred rotations, rationale for choice and future career plans
- Two-page maximum Curriculum Vitae that includes relevant experience and clinical rotations
- Certified copy of academic transcripts to date (including ‘key to results’)
- Two recent and certified acute summative clinical appraisals
- Career intention statement via PMCV
- References via PMCV
- Please note PMCV interviews will be utilised for the review of applications
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- Registration as a Nurse and Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
