Consultant – Profile


Responsible for the development of various tools/applications, on time completion of projects or components of large, complex initiatives for clients in the life sciences sector. The role requires advanced technical expertise in VBA, Python, and related automation frameworks to design, build, and deploy analytical tools that address forecasting, PMA, and other critical business needs. In addition to delivering technical solutions, the position involves identifying and elevating potential new business opportunities and supporting the sales process.

Essential Functions

  • Technical solution design: Leads or participates in teams to architect, code, and deliver consulting projects or components of larger, complex projects, with a focus on VBA and Python‑based implementations.
  • Client requirements analysis: Reviews and translates client requirements into technical specifications, developing cost‑effective solutions that balance profitability with high client satisfaction.
  • Team guidance: Provides technical direction to Analysts, Consultants, and Statistical Services, ensuring best practices in coding, automation, and data handling.
  • Documentation and specifications: Produces detailed technical documentation, including code specifications, workflows, and deployment guidelines.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis: Applies advanced programming and statistical methods to identify client issues and develop tailored solutions.
  • Reporting and visualization: Designs and delivers client reports and presentations, integrating automated dashboards and Python‑driven visualizations.
  • Continuous improvement: Recommends enhancements and alternative technical approaches to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Business development: Identifies opportunities for follow‑on work and new leads by showcasing technical capabilities in automation and AI.
  • Client engagement: Provides follow‑up after project delivery, ensuring technical solutions are fully adopted and client satisfaction is achieved.
  • Knowledge development: Proactively expands expertise in consulting methodologies, life sciences markets, and emerging technologies such as AI, while building subject matter expertise in VBA/Python automation.
  • Project management: When acting as Project Manager, oversees technical timelines, code delivery milestones, and day‑to‑day communication with clients and team members.

  • Present insights in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
  • Support proposal development and contribute to business development activities
  • Actively participate in learning and capability-building initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and client engagement standards
  • Continuous learning to meet the evolving needs of business

  • Being compliant with organizational policies and procedures

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree  in Engineering or Master’s degree in Computer Applications
  • 4-6 years of related experience Req

Required Skills:

  • Good knowledge in Pharmaceutical Forecasting and datasets.
  • Advanced MS Excel (mandatory) – modelling, large datasets, automation.
  • VBA (mandatory) – automation, tool development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Python solution development.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint (client-ready storytelling).
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and applications in business contexts.
