Job Summary
As a Contracts Analyst at John W. Danforth Company, you will help drive the successful management of customer contracts and business agreements from review through administration. You'll work closely with internal teams and customers to identify key contract terms, assess risks, coordinate insurance requirements, and support timely contract processing in line with organizational policies. This role is critical to protecting the company's interests while delivering a responsive and positive experience for our customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage customer contracts through the contract lifecycle from intake to execution for assigned business regions.• Review standard contracts, including AIA agreements, NDAs, service agreements, and other business documents.• Identify, summarize, and escalate key contract terms, risks, and non-standard provisions.• Evaluate customer insurance requirements and coordinate certificates of insurance and bond requests.• Prepare summaries of contract terms and support risk analysis efforts.• Support contract revisions, negotiations, and document tracking activities.• Utilize electronic document management and workflow systems to support contract administration.• Respond to contract-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.• Coordinate with contract team members to ensure timely approvals and contract processing.• Initiate lien filings as required and maintain supporting documentation.• Leverage approved AI tools and technology to support document review and contract management processes.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with commercial contracts.• Associate or Bachelor’s degree required.• Working knowledge of construction contract terms and conditions.• Basic understanding of commercial insurance requirements within the construction industry.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF/document management tools.• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond with urgency and ownership.• Strong communication and collaboration skills.• Experience utilizing AI tools for document review is a plus.

Compensation Range: $65,000-$75,000
Other Compensation: Bonus eligible
