What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Co-Op Risk Reporting Analyst within our Cross-Borders division. This position falls under our Risk Management line of business and is in Toronto, ON. In this role, you will support the team with credit analytics, exception reporting, bounced-payment analysis, portfolio monitoring, and other structured risk-management activities. We are looking for someone with a good academic foundation, strong Excel and analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in credit risk and financial services. Prior professional credit experience would be helpful but is not expected, as the role is intended to provide practical learning and development. You will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Operational Risk and regularly collaborate with various stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
Reviewing and supporting exception requests related to settlement limit breaches, early release (ER) requests, and temporary overdrafts within defined mandates, ensuring alignment with approved risk frameworks and escalation thresholds.
Supporting daily transactional credit risk operations, including monitoring settlement activity, overage positions, CLIAB balances, and funding sufficiency across currencies.
Supporting credit underwriting activities for Enterprise or API-based clients, and Financial Institutions, including analysis of financial statements, liquidity positions, transaction volumes, and settlement behavior.
Monitoring and supporting resolution of bounce payment activity, including tracking re-pulls, reinstatement requests, and timely escalation of unresolved exposures.
Identifying high-risk transactional behavior, including large-value payments, new or changed beneficiaries, unusual settlement patterns, and repeat exception usage, and escalating concerns in line with defined controls.
Supporting the implementation and ongoing initiatives of preventative risk controls to mitigate fraud risk, settlement exposure, and operational losses.
Preparing and maintaining risk trackers, dashboards, and reporting (e.g., exception logs, bounce payment trackers, settlement exposure summaries) to support management oversight.
Partnering with Sales, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to support timely resolution of credit-related and transactional queries while maintaining appropriate risk discipline.
Qualifications & Skills
Currently enrolled in a college or university co-op program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
Eligible to complete a full-time co-op placement
Strong interest in FX markets, payment flows, and settlement mechanics, with practical exposure to transactional risk or liquidity monitoring considered an asset.
Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, structured analysis); experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a strong plus.
Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to escalate issues clearly and concisely.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with frequent cross-functional interaction.

Pay Transparency
The expected salary range for this position is [22.00 – 24.00 CAD], based on the candidate’s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process.
