At Eni, we are looking for a Cost Recovery Analyst to join Eni Mexico, S.de R.L. de C.V. in Mexico City. You will be responsible for reconciling amounts paid against those reported in the SIPAC system to ensure the company’s compliance with the Area 1 Contract, particularly regarding monthly and annual regulatory reporting requirements. You will liaise with internal departments to provide support, gather and validate the information required for the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory authorities, advise on cost recoverability treatment, and control and manage approved budgets in line with contractual and regulatory obligations.

Main responsibilities:
- Reconcile payments against amounts reported in SIPAC for the period 2018–2023.
- Prepare all supporting documentation for audits covering 2022–2023, as the last audit covered the period up to December 2021.
- Where differences or omissions are identified between amounts paid and amounts reported in SIPAC, prepare the necessary documentation and analytical support for submission to the relevant authorities.
- Ensure accurate and compliant submission of monthly and annual reports (including audited financial statements, transfer pricing documentation, etc.), as well as required information and documentation to regulatory bodies (CNH, FMP, Hacienda, etc.).
- Prepare detailed working papers to serve as the basis for SIPAC reporting templates.
- Support responses to requests from Hacienda in the event of an audit.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Costos, Gastos e Inversiones (CGI) to the Fondo Mexicano del Petróleo (FMP) in accordance with applicable contracts, regulations, and issued guidelines.
- Gather and analyse the necessary input data from the ERP system for the preparation of working papers.
- Present monthly progress reports and activity updates to the Manager, CFO, and Managing Director.
Skills and experience required:
- Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Good understanding of accounting, bookkeeping, and invoicing tax requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in IT systems and computer applications.
