Position Description: 

The Credit Analyst is part of the Order to Cash team and is responsible for managing customer credit risk evaluation and escalation for the accounts receivable portfolio. Working with other OTC colleagues and business partners in sales and operations, the Credit Analyst conducts credit analysis and portfolio reviews to assess the financial health of individual and grouped accounts. Oversees risk evaluation and escalation for accounts facing financial distress and/or nonpayment of debt to mitigate potential losses for the company. The role also serves as a lead and escalation point of contact for the Credit and Collections team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the review, recommendation, and approval of credit lines for prospective and current customers using third-party credit reporting tools, financial statements, and internal customer data to aid in vetting requests for increased credit and/or payment terms to mitigate ATD's financial risk.
  • Communicates credit decisions and risks timely to relevant partners.
  • Maintain credit files and requests, track and analyze required financial information including supporting the Department leaders with collateral filings including UCC’s.
  • Perform assigned and ad-hoc data analysis and reporting.
  • Monitors and Supports accounts involved in bankruptcy proceedings to ensure compliance and recovery efforts are on track and works with the OTC leadership and Legal to administer correct steps in the process.
  • Support the OTC leaders with placement and tracking of accounts with 3rd Party Collection agencies, managing all communications with the agencies and providing status reports to OTC Management.
  • Develop and foster relationships with the sales force and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Support other directives and special projects as prescribed by OTC management to drive adoption of new processes and procedures that contribute to best practices in addressing risk mitigation, departmental efficiency and autonomy in processes.

  • Data Collection and Analysis - The ability and skill to determine and analyze trends from data that is collected to assist in compiling reports that will help in decision-making including proficient use of aligned software (e.g., Tableau, etc)
  • Creative Problem Solving - Ability to find practical solutions for unexpected business and client problems.
  • Writing Skills - Ability to express ideas, request actions, formulate plans, & policies by means of clear and effective writing.
  • Ensures Accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.
  • Financial Accounting - The ability and skill to apply financial accounting principles, classifying, measuring and recording company financial transactions including proficiency in related software
  • Planning & Organizing - Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet objectives.
