We foster a collaborative and inclusive culture where employees are empowered to contribute ideas, bring diverse perspectives, and make an impact.

Global Finance Services (GFS) is a key part of AstraZeneca’s Finance function, responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient, and easy-to-operate transactional finance processes. GFS supports core finance processes across record to report, purchase to pay, order to cash, and data management, while also supporting AstraZeneca’s cash focus through effective management of supplier and customer payment terms and practices.

GFS operates globally through a combination of in-house teams and outsourced business process support. As part of AstraZeneca’s ongoing Finance Transformation journey, GFS continues to evolve its global process-focused operating model to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery.

The Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the credit management process, including the consistent application of credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers. The role includes managing a portfolio of customer accounts, resolving account-related queries, minimizing doubtful debt through analysis of customer performance and credit risk, and partnering with Sales teams to support business growth while managing risk.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Perform credit reviews for assigned customer accounts according to the established review schedule. Analyze financial statements, ratio analysis, credit agency reports, and other relevant information to prepare credit recommendations in line with company credit policy.

  • Monitor account status and credit risk indicators, including credit alerts, and communicate findings where significant risks are identified.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit master data and related records.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly credit risk reports to ensure accounts are assigned the appropriate risk category, credit reviews are completed before the next due date, and credit limits remain sufficient for business needs.

  • Review blocked orders prior to manual release and escalate where significant credit risk is identified.

  • Perform transaction processing activities independently, including the timely resolution of complex queries, investigations, and exceptions.

  • Review compliance with key controls as defined in FCF/SOX documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Sales Account Managers, and Financial Controllers to ensure stakeholders are informed of relevant credit risks and account issues.

  • Act as a point of escalation for credit risk, system, process, and project-related matters, and support ad hoc requests as needed.

  • Make adjustments, handle queries, and resolve issues in accordance with company policy, internal controls, and established guidelines.

  • Work under the direction of the Credit Risk Team Leader and provide regular updates as required.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent is required.

  • 1–2 years or more of finance experience in an international and multicultural environment is required.

  • B2B experience would be an advantage.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities effectively.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work quickly and independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience working in a shared service center or within a large global organization would be an advantage.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, Celonis, and Python would be an advantage.

  • Candidates pursuing professional finance qualifications are encouraged to apply.
