We are seeking a delivery-focused Custody Technology Analyst with a strong understanding of distributed ledger technology (DLT), cryptocurrencies, and digital assets, paired with a solid foundation in the custody domain. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional financial infrastructure and the future of decentralized finance, working across design, engineering, implementation, and quality assurance.

Team/Role Overview
Our Custody Technology team is at the forefront of the industry's shift toward asset tokenization and digital market infrastructure. This is a highly collaborative, forward-thinking squad tasked with designing and integrating digital asset solutions into Citi’s world-class custody platform.
As a Custody Technology Analyst, you will collaborate daily with global product managers, blockchain engineers, enterprise architects, and operations specialists. You will work on cutting-edge initiatives that define how institutional clients securely hold, settle, and service digital assets. This role offers the unique challenge of working with emerging, fast-evolving technologies while maintaining the rigorous security, scalability, and resilience of a Tier-1 global bank.
What you’ll do
- Technical & Functional Analysis: Conduct deep technical analysis of business and functional requirements, translating them into robust, developer-ready specifications and system designs.
- Systems Integration: Analyze, map, and communicate the downstream impacts of integrating new digital asset and blockchain systems with Citi's existing global technology stack.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Risk, and Operations to design and deliver a cohesive target architecture and operating model.
- Proactive Delivery & Risk Management: Drive project tasks independently, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks or delivery risks, and communicating them early to ensure timely project execution.
- System Evolution: Design and implement modifications within existing global custody applications to seamlessly support digital asset use cases, tokenization, and smart contract execution.
- Architecture & Design Contribution: Contribute actively to system architecture discussions, advocating for modern, clean, secure, and highly scalable design patterns.
What we’ll need from you
- Technical Foundation: Proven experience in a technical role such as Software Engineering, Technical Systems Analysis, or Solutions Architecture.
- Digital Asset Domain Knowledge: A strong conceptual and practical understanding of blockchain, DLT networks, smart contracts, tokenization, and digital custody.
- Modern Architecture Design: Hands-on experience working with modern, high-throughput microservices, event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, pub/sub), and RESTful APIs.
- Enterprise Resilience: Experience designing, developing, or supporting mission-critical, highly resilient, and fault-tolerant enterprise systems.
- Financial Services: Background in financial services, with preferred exposure to securities services, custody, clearing, or settlement systems.
- Global Team Experience: Proven ability to work effectively in virtual, diverse, and cross-functional global teams.
- Strong Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical business partners.
