Cybercrime Analysts have an opportunity to make a real difference in the world by identifying threats and acting to protect governments, banks, and consumers from online attacks. You'll be a key part of the incident response team, finding innovative ways to rapidly disrupt cyber-attacks against our clients. And don't worry if you have limited experience in this area, as we can train you.</p> <h2 data-section-id="16u69ip" data-start="603" data-end="653">Day to day, your responsibilities will include:</h2> <ul data-start="655" data-end="1019"> <li data-section-id="1c7u1cl" data-start="655" data-end="768">Cybercrime incident response – communicating analysis of cyber threats to relevant parties to mitigate attacks;</li> <li data-section-id="13jaddv" data-start="769" data-end="864">Classification of malicious websites, social media profiles, apps, emails, and phone numbers;</li> <li data-section-id="1yi9kc3" data-start="865" data-end="955">Providing clear and professional feedback to customers on incidents and classifications;</li> <li data-section-id="1ptducj" data-start="956" data-end="1019">Sharing your ideas on how to improve processes and workflows.</li> </ul> <p data-start="1021" data-end="1226">Based at our Melbourne office, but with hybrid flexibility, you’ll report directly to a more senior member of the Technical Operations function and will work closely with colleagues across different teams.</p> <h2 data-section-id="1dcmbyx" data-start="1228" data-end="1260">To be successful, you’ll need</h2> <ul data-start="1262" data-end="1969"> <li data-section-id="aha1u3" data-start="1262" data-end="1348">Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong intellectual and commercial curiosity;</li> <li data-section-id="101ajst" data-start="1349" data-end="1392">A positive and solution-focused approach;</li> <li data-section-id="47nxgi" data-start="1393" data-end="1446">Interest in the internet and cybercrime prevention;</li> <li data-section-id="5mi99b" data-start="1447" data-end="1520">Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written English;</li> <li data-section-id="s94hpm" data-start="1521" data-end="1594">Ability to engage with people in a warm, helpful, and professional way;</li> <li data-section-id="47g576" data-start="1595" data-end="1669">Self-motivation, ability to take initiative, and work as part of a team;</li> <li data-section-id="1tn9n4u" data-start="1670" data-end="1727">Aptitude for analysing and using technical information;</li> <li data-section-id="14nuf8d" data-start="1728" data-end="1774">Competence in handling incoming phone calls;</li> <li data-section-id="1w2op2" data-start="1775" data-end="1872">Some experience in cybersecurity is useful but not essential as full training will be provided;</li> <li data-section-id="18hcuzp" data-start="1873" data-end="1969">A degree in a relevant area, such as Computer Science or IT may be useful but isn't essential.</li> </ul> <p data-start="1971" data-end="2111">Prior experience or knowledge in cybersecurity is not required; we’re more interested in your passion and willingness to grow in this field.</p> <h2 data-section-id="kuoizk" data-start="2113" data-end="2124">Schedule</h2> <p data-start="2126" data-end="2203"><strong>Wednesday–Sunday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM</strong></p> <p data-start="2205" data-end="2439" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">Weekend work is required because Netcraft protects its customers 24/7, 365 days per year, which we'll discuss with you during the interview.
