Data Analyst

The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting business and operational data to support decision-making across the Bank. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of operational data while developing meaningful management information (MI), dashboards, and regulatory reporting support.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting
ā¢ Ā Ā Analyze operational, financial, and customer data to identify trends and opportunities.
ā¢ Ā Ā Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports.
ā¢ Ā Ā Assist with creating dashboards and KPIs using Power BI, Excel, or other BI tools.
ā¢ Ā Ā Prepare executive reports for senior management and Board Committees.
ā¢ Ā Ā Support business units with ad hoc reporting requirements.
Data Quality
ā¢ Ā Ā Monitor the completeness and accuracy of operational data.
ā¢ Ā Ā Investigate data inconsistencies and coordinate corrections with business units.
ā¢ Ā Ā Perform regular data validation and reconciliation checks.
ā¢ Ā Ā Support implementation of data quality standards.
ā¢ Ā Ā Maintain data dictionaries and reporting definitions.
Regulatory Reporting Support
ā¢ Ā Ā Assist with preparation of regulatory information.
ā¢ Ā Ā Support Finance, Compliance and Risk in compiling regulatory returns.
ā¢ Ā Ā Validate data used within regulatory submissions.
Process Improvement
ā¢ Ā Ā Assist with implementation of automation tools and programsĀ
Stakeholder Management
ā¢ Ā Ā Work closely with Front Office, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance and IT
ā¢ Ā Ā Assist with supporting business users with reporting requirementsĀ
Documentation
ā¢ Ā Ā Maintain reporting procedures.
ā¢ Ā Ā Document data sources.
ā¢ Ā Ā Maintain KPI definitions.
ā¢ Ā Ā Support internal and external audits.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelorās degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Finance, Accounting, or Business with demonstrated systems experience
- IT specific qualifications or certifications, a plus
- Up to 2-4 years of experience in data management, business intelligence, operations or banking.
- Experience within banking or financial services.
- Experience analyzing large data sets.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
