The role requires strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server, Python, and BI reporting tools, along with working knowledge of Data Warehousing and Master Data Management (MDM) concepts within the insurance industry.  The candidate will support production jobs, perform data validation, design ad-hoc scripts, programs, ETL pipelines, and implement small production fixes while ensuring data quality, reliability, and alignment with enterprise data standards. The Data Analyst will work a Hybrid Schedule in our Summit, NJ Offices.  Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Perform data analysis and validation on insurance data including policy, claims, customer, premium, and transaction data</li> <li>Extract data from multiple sources/systems to support larger analytics projects and initiatives, Address data gaps across various domains to enhance overall data quality.</li> <li>Support and maintain data warehouse and production ETL pipelines built using Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server, and Azure Blob Storage</li> <li>Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives by ensuring data consistency, standardization, consolidation, and reference data validation on Profisee platform</li> <li>Use BI reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, or similar) to: <ul> <li>Validate data accuracy and completeness</li> <li>Perform source-to-target reconciliation</li> <li>Support operational and business validation checks</li> </ul> </li> <li>Design and develop ad-hoc ETL processes using ADF and Python for analytics, fixes, and enhancements as part of production support activities</li> <li>Monitor production jobs, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis</li> <li>Create and maintain technical and functional documentation (requirements, design, process flows)</li> <li>Identify opportunities to improve data processes and analytics solutions using technology</li> <li>Deliver high-quality analytical outputs and visual storytelling to support management decision-making</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to support enterprise data initiatives</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field</li> <li>5+ years of experience in the Insurance Industry preferred, not required</li> <li>5+ years of experience with Data Warehousing, Data Lakehouse, and Master Data Management (MDM)</li> <li>5+ years of experience with Databricks platform</li> <li>5+ years of experience with Azure Cloud Resources with SQL Server</li> <li>2+ years of experience with MDM tool – Profisee preferred</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex queries, joins, stored procedures, indexing) and Python</li> <li>Experience using BI reporting tools for data validation and reconciliation or Tableau</li> <li>Hands on experience with API integration</li> <li>Hands on experience with version control systems - GitHub </li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills</li> <li>Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills across cross-functional teams</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines</li> <li>Ability to work in fast-paced, work-intensive organization and be able to adapt to changing priorities while delivering with high accuracy</li> </ul>   **Candidates must have work authorization that does not require employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.** The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
