Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Design and implement database security controls, including:
    • Unified/Legacy Auditing
    • Least-privilege access models
  • Support audit and regulatory requirements (PCI-DSS and local banking regulations).
  • Enforce segregation of duties and controlled access processes.
  • Ensure database hardening and vulnerability remediation in accordance with security standards.

Automation & Engineering Practices

  • Standardize operational automation using:
    • PL/SQL
    • Shell scripting
    • Python
    • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Develop reusable frameworks for:
    • Backup and recovery
    • Health monitoring
    • Capacity management
    • Compliance validation
  • Integrate database workflows into CI/CD and infrastructure automation pipelines.
  • Automate routine operational and maintenance activities wherever possible.

Leadership & Governance

  • Mentor DBAs and review technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Define operational KPIs, SLAs, and monitoring standards.
  • Maintain runbooks, DR procedures, architecture documentation, and operational standards.
  • Serve as an escalation point for major production incidents.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, development, and architecture teams.

Required Experience
