We are Sparksoft!</div>ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:    The Date Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring continuous improvement of the program’s data quality through solutions and strategies to address business challenges and in designing, building and maintaining ETL pipelines to extract data from various sources supporting data integrity and best practices. The Data Engineer will work collaboratively with the product manager, product owners, business owners, and the data and reporting services teams to deliver business value in support of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in detecting and preventing fraud, waste, and abuse within government-sponsored health programs. <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Analyze data from a variety of sources, identifying and correcting errors and inconsistencies, and developing and implementing processes to improve data quality. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of APS data. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Work with a range of data types, including structured and unstructured data, and use a variety of tools and techniques to analyze and improve data quality. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Use tools and techniques such as statistical analysis, data cleansing and transformation tools, and data governance frameworks. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Design, develop, test and release ETL solutions including data quality validations and metrics that follow data governance and standardization best practices.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract data from various sources, transform it into the desired format, and load it into target systems.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Define and implement data transformation logic to clean, aggregate, and structure data to meet business and analytical requirements. Ensure the quality and consistency of data in the ETL process by implementing data validation checks and handling exceptions.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Analyze and recommend optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse source systems.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Work closely with Database Administrator(s) and assist in supporting the data models, including data dictionaries/metadata registry.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Document processes, prepare reports, and make recommendations for process improvements. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Develop new processes and procedures to enhance operations. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Collaborate with other teams to implement changes or updates in the existing reports. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Advanced Excel expertise required including use of pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting, etc. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Present responses and findings to business owners, customers, leadership. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Provide support in ad-hoc analysis to meet customer needs. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Performing statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Collaborate with internal team to improve data collection and storage processes. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Analyze and identify data quality issues, develop methods to address data quality problems. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Review and understand artifacts related to data ingestion and transformation as it applies to data validation and analysis. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Provide quality assurance reports using tools like Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, and Tableau. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Streamlines internal processes focusing on organization support using tools like Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, and Tableau. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Performs ad hoc data analysis to support programmatic questions and stakeholder requests.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Works as part of a project team to determine project requirements, goals, implementation, and schedules.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Develop scripts and dashboards to monitor the accuracy and quality of data flow.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Maintain data accuracy and quality checks by monitoring/reviewing the dashboards and reports regularly.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Assess/evaluate to deliver timely data reporting, and data solutions against client requirements.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up, client responsiveness, and thorough communication.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to provide input on testing progress and challenges.</li> </ul>   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:    <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;">4+ years of relevant experience </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Possess knowledge of Agile methodology (such as Scrum) and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Relevant experience in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and support.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and data modeling. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> 2-4 years of experience of data analytics tools (like SQL, R, Python) and data visualization tools (like Tableau, PowerBI, AWS QuickSight).</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Able to lead designing and implementation of data pipelines.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Experience with cloud computing tools such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Advanced Excel expertise required including use of pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting, etc. </li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Experience in automation and scripting.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Ability to effectively transfer knowledge to other team members.</li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"> Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.</li> <li
