Data Center Integrated Planning & Scheduling
The Senior Scheduler – Data Center Infrastructure is a senior individual contributor responsible for building and managing the integrated master schedule (IMS) for large-scale OCI data center programs, from project initiation through GPU/rack handover. This role drives schedule predictability across a matrixed organization by aligning internal teams and external partners, maintaining critical path clarity, and proactively managing schedule risk to enable on-time, on-budget delivery. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. **This role is based in the El Paso, TX/Las Cruces, NM area and requires one to live in the area. Relocation assistance available. Only apply if you currently live in this area or are able to relocate permanently to the area. **
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the end-to-end integrated master schedule across multiple concurrent data center projects/programs.
- Establish and govern standard scheduling methodology (WBS structure, activity coding, calendar standards, baseline/change control).
- Drive critical path and near-critical path visibility; lead recovery planning and schedule optimization.
- Produce schedule performance reporting (milestone health, look-aheads, variance analysis, trend analysis, forecasts).
- Lead schedule-focused risk identification and mitigation, including scenario planning and what-if analysis.
- Coordinate schedule interfaces across functions: Site Acquisition, Design/Engineering, Construction, Telecom, Commissioning, Security, WAN, Energy, Operations, and vendor partners.
- Facilitate schedule governance forums (e.g., weekly/monthly reviews), ensuring clear actions, owners, and closure.
Core Responsibilities (What You’ll Do Day-to-Day)
- Build and maintain detailed schedules including:
- design/package release milestones
- procurement/long-lead deliveries
- construction phases and turnover sequencing
- low-voltage/telecom integration points
- commissioning/test/certification gates
- rack readiness and GPU handover milestones
- Baseline schedules and manage change impacts (scope shifts, constraints, delays, vendor change orders) with transparent documentation.
- Develop rolling wave plans and 2–6 week look-aheads to support field execution.
- Ensure schedule logic quality: dependencies, constraints, float integrity, resource/loading assumptions (as applicable).
- Partner with PMs and functional leads to drive accountability to dates, resolve conflicts, and remove blockers.
- Maintain schedule data hygiene and ensure consistent reporting across regions/programs.
Required Qualifications
- Education/Experience (one of the following):
- 5+ years of experience in construction project controls/scheduling/program scheduling, OR
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Demonstrated experience owning schedules for mission-critical or large capital programs (data centers, semiconductor, pharma, industrial, or similar).
- Strong working knowledge of CPM scheduling concepts: critical path, float, baselines, variance/trend analysis.
- Proficiency with enterprise scheduling tools such as Oracle Primavera P6 (or equivalent); strong Excel skills for analysis/reporting.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence outcomes in a matrixed organization (often without direct authority).
