</div><div><p>The Supermicro Data Center team is seeking a Data Center Network Engineer to Support daily operations of high-performance networking infrastructure within our AI lab(s) and data center environments. This role focuses on rack-level deployment, cabling, switch configuration support, and troubleshooting connectivity for GPU clusters and storage systems.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></H2>
</div><div><ul>
<li><strong>Data Center Network Deployment: </strong>Rack, stack, cable, label, and commission high-speed Ethernet switches supporting 10/25/100/200/400GbE network infrastructure in AI labs and high-density data center environments.</li>
<li><strong>Fiber & High-Speed Connectivity: </strong>Install, inspect, label, and validate fiber-optic infrastructure and high-speed interconnects, including QSFP/OSFP transceivers, DACs, AOCs, and associated cabling.</li>
<li><strong>Switch Configuration: </strong>Configure and validate switch ports, including access and trunk interfaces, VLAN assignments, link aggregation, and other Layer 2 configurations under established network standards and engineering guidance.</li>
<li><strong>Spine-Leaf Network Deployment: </strong>Support deployment, expansion, and troubleshooting of spine-leaf network fabrics used for high-performance AI/ML and GPU compute environments.</li>
<li><strong>GPU & Server Connectivity: </strong>Install and validate network connectivity for GPU servers, compute nodes, and high-performance NICs. Perform link validation and confirm expected connectivity, link speeds, and interface status.</li>
<li><strong>Network Troubleshooting: </strong>Diagnose Layer 1–Layer 3 connectivity issues involving switches, optics, transceivers, fiber, DAC/AOC cables, NICs, and network interfaces. Isolate faults and escalate complex issues to senior network engineers as required.</li>
<li><strong>Performance & Link Validation: </strong>Perform connectivity and basic performance testing using tools such as ping, iperf, interface diagnostics, and switch telemetry to validate network links and identify performance anomalies.</li>
<li><strong>Network Configuration Support: </strong>Assist with MLAG, LACP, port-channel, VLAN, and other network configurations under the direction of senior network engineers while following established configuration standards and change-control procedures.</li>
<li><strong>Hardware Replacement & Break/Fix: </strong>Troubleshoot and replace failed optics, transceivers, cables, network interface components, and switch line cards. Verify system functionality following component replacement.</li>
<li><strong>Network Monitoring: </strong>Monitor network health dashboards and telemetry for link failures, packet errors, interface flaps, abnormal utilization, and other connectivity or performance issues.</li>
<li><strong>Topology & Documentation: </strong>Maintain accurate documentation of rack layouts, switch configurations, fiber paths, port mappings, device inventory, and physical/logical network topology.</li>
<li><strong>Commissioning & Deployment Support: </strong>Support network commissioning, rack burn-in, and deployment activities in coordination with server, electrical, liquid cooling, facilities, and data center operations teams.</li>
<li><strong>Incident Response & Root Cause Analysis: </strong>Respond to network connectivity incidents, assist with fault isolation and root-cause analysis (RCA), and document corrective actions and recurring failure modes.</li>
<li>Lead 24/7 NOC operations, direct technician triage, drive major incident escalations to hit MTTA/MTTR SLAs, and optimize monitoring tools and runbooks for maximum infrastructure uptime.</li>

</div><div><ul>
<li>BS degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related technical field preferred.,</li>
<li>5+ years of hands-on experience supporting network infrastructure in data centers, AI labs, high-density compute environments, or other mission-critical facilities.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4 addressing, subnetting, VLANs, trunking, Layer 2/Layer 3 concepts, and basic routing principles</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with enterprise/data center switches such as Cisco, Arista, or equivalent platforms. Experience with switch port configuration, interface diagnostics, VLANs, LACP/port channels, and basic MLAG concepts is preferred.</li>
<li>Experience working with 100GbE and higher-speed network infrastructure, including QSFP/OSFP optics, DAC/AOC cables, fiber connectivity, and high-speed server NICs.</li>
<li>Familiarity with GPU servers, AI/ML clusters, high-density compute racks, and the networking requirements associated with distributed GPU workloads.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of data center network architectures, including spine-leaf topologies and east-west traffic patterns.</li>
<li>Basic proficiency with Linux command-line tools and network troubleshooting utilities such as ping, traceroute, iperf, and interface diagnostics.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of firewalls, access controls, network segmentation, VPN technologies, and common data center security practices.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot Layer 1–Layer 3 connectivity issues, isolate hardware or configuration faults, and escalate complex issues appropriately.</li>

</div><div><p>$115,000 - $130,000 </p>
<p>The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
