<p><br><br><span style="">Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.</span></p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Role Purpose</H2>
</div><div><p style="margin:0.0in;line-height:115%"><span style="">The Quality Engineer (QE) for the Data Center Business Unit (DC BU) supports product and process quality across data center products and manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, NPI, and Customer-facing teams to help prevent quality issues, assist in investigations, and contribute to effective corrective and preventive actions. The QE applies an engineering mindset, data analysis, and structured problem-solving to support product integrity and continuous improvement efforts.</span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="margin:0.0px">Key Responsibilities</H2>

<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Support investigations into data center quality incidents, including containment, data collection, and root cause analysis activities</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Assist in documenting and tracking corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Collaborate with senior engineers and the DC Quality Excellence Manager on escalations requiring cross-functional coordination</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Contribute to the development and maintenance of product and process quality tools (CTQs, control plans, risk assessments)</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Participate in process capability studies, measurement system analysis (MSA), and data-driven evaluations of key manufacturing processes</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Support quality engineering activities in manufacturing, testing, external manufacturing and end customer environments</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Provide early quality support during NPI phases, helping ensure design-for-quality and manufacturability considerations are addressed</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Participate in qualification builds, readiness reviews, and risk mitigation activities with both internal and external stakeholders</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Analyze quality performance data (e.g., PPM, complaints, audit findings) to identify trends and improvement opportunities</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Participate in continuous improvement projects using structured problem-solving and basic statistical methods</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Support customer quality interactions and audits as a technical representative for the DC BU</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Assist in maintaining audit readiness and compliance with applicable Quality Management System standards (e.g., ISO, TL)</span></li>

<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">2–3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or related engineering roles</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Working knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a technical environment</span></li>
<li style="line-height:107%"><span style="line-height:107%">Ability to analyze data and communicate findings clearly</span></li>

<p><span style="">The range for this position is $80,011.00 - $110,016.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. </span></p>
