We combine our strength in technology with unmatched industry experience, functional expertise and global delivery capability. We are committed to creating positive change and delivering value for our clients, people, shareholders, partners and communities.

The MEP Systems Integration Manager (MEP SIM) is the Customer's senior on-site technical integration representative, ensuring that mechanical, electrical and associated infrastructure systems progress from construction completion through energisation, startup and commissioning readiness in an integrated manner. The MEP SIM provides technical oversight of MEP system interfaces and commissioning preparation. The MEP SIM works closely with the Construction Manager (CM), Developer, General Contractor (GC), Commissioning Agents and MEP specialists.

The MEP SIM coordinates and escalates issues across the Customer, Developer, GC, MEP contractors, commissioning teams and Customer delivery teams but does not assume the Developer/GC's contractual responsibility for design, construction methodology, supervision, quality or commissioning execution.

Responsibilities

  • Drive resolution of MEP technical dependencies across the delivery parties

Systems completion and commissioning readiness

  • Support closure of final construction activities required for systems completion and turnover
  • Work with MEP and engineering teams to resolve technical issues affecting commissioning
  • Coordinate task sequencing where customer fit-out overlaps with final construction and commissioning
  • Monitor ITP completion, NCRs, defects and punch-list closure affecting milestone readiness.
  • Verify test records, certifications, as-built information and completions documentation
  • Support progressive turnover from construction areas to controlled/commissioning/operational environments

Site progress verification

  • Conduct regular field walks to verify MEP installation progress and quality
  • Monitor QA/QC records with the developer/GC commissioning tools
  • Identify deviations from contract documents and specifications and escalate material issues
  • Verify construction completion status before energisation, startup and commissioning activities
  • Maintain visibility of MEP technical risks and issues through the project's CRAID (change, risk, action, issue, decision) process

Background and experience

  • Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification
  • 8+ years' experience in MEP engineering, construction, commissioning or systems integration
  • Working knowledge of data centre electrical, mechanical, controls and commissioning systems
  • Experience delivering hyperscale or large-scale data centre facilities
