Please note that this role is based at our Fareham site and you will be required to attend three days per week.
As a Datacentre Infrastructure Management Technical Specialist, you will join the Infrastructure Operations Services team, delivering technical support across key datacentre locations. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining electrical and mechanical infrastructure, while supporting IT installations to meet business and customer project needs.
What's the job?
- Work Monday–Friday with participation in a 24/7 on-call rota.
- Monitor and maintain datacentre management tools and infrastructure.
- Deliver IT installations, moves, and decommissioning of legacy equipment.
- Install and manage LAN and SAN cabling within the datacentre.
- Maintain accurate asset and configuration data, ensuring effective tracking and control.
- Support datacentre operations by resolving incidents to SLA, collaborating on projects, and working with third-party suppliers to deliver maintenance and service improvements.
What you'll bring
Essential
- Relevant experience working in a datacentre support role or operations environment.
- Practical hands-on experience with Datacentre equipment installations
- Copper and fibre cabling infrastructure experience
- Knowledge of Sunbird and Raritan datacentre software/hardware products.
- Clean driving licence essential as there is travel to other Kingfisher sites.
Desirable
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Be Customer focused.
- Self- motivated with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a small team of three.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and good time management skills
- Reliable and conscientious
Education
- Excellent GCSE grades, emphasis on IT, English and Maths
