This role serves as the primary champion for ONB's internal data marketplace, enterprise data catalog, and certified data product framework — translating complex data capabilities into meaningful, accessible, and trusted resources for data consumers enterprise-wide. The Director, Data Enablement bridges the gap between data producers and consumers, ensuring that ONB's investment in modern data infrastructure (Databricks, Unity Catalog, and the medallion architecture) is fully realized through high adoption, strong data literacy, and measurable business impact.

- Represent the voice of the data consumer in the design and evolution of ONB's data product strategy, operating model, and certification framework.
- Collaborate with domain data owners and the Enterprise Data Services (EDS) team to ensure data products are built to meet real consumer needs — with defined SLAs, clear ownership, and intuitive access patterns.

- Partner with HR and LOB leadership to embed data fluency into onboarding programs, role-based development plans, and performance frameworks.
- Create and maintain an ONB data enablement community of practice that fosters peer learning, celebrates data-driven wins, and surfaces adoption barriers in real time.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
- Serve as a senior liaison between Data Technology and business domain stakeholders — communicating roadmap progress, managing expectations, and building executive-level confidence in the data platform.
- Lead change management efforts associated with the shift to a data product-centric operating model, including communication planning, stakeholder alignment, and resistance mitigation.
- Partner with the Data Strategy and Product sub-teams to co-develop business cases, adoption metrics, and executive reporting that demonstrate the value of ONB's data investments.
