<h2><strong>Job Description</strong></h2>
<p>As a <strong>Data Engineer</strong>, you will design and develop automation systems and deploy ML models that optimise business operations and decision-making. You will drive innovation through data and automation technologies, ensuring seamless data availability and operational efficiency across all company divisions.</p>
<p>This role is based in <strong>Chippendale, Sydney</strong> and reports to the <strong>Principal Manager, Data Engineering</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>You will…</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement strategies for automation tools aligned with company objectives.</li>
<li>Deploy and maintain ML models</li>
<li>Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for process automation and digital tool development.</li>
<li>Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support delivery and requirements.</li>
<li>Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for automation tools.</li>
<li>Drive innovation by adopting modern frameworks, APIs, and development methodologies.</li>
<li>Mentor colleagues on best practices for software development and data engineering integration.</li>
<li>Monitor and enhance the performance and user experience of existing automation tools.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>You have…</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related).</li>
<li>An interest in the deployment of production-grade ML models</li>
<li>Proven hands-on experience developing web applications using Javascript frameworks.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Javascript, HTML, CSS, Python, and SQL.</li>
<li>Strong experience with modern data platforms like Databricks and the AWS stack.</li>
<li>Experience using Serverless architecture (AWS Lambda) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).</li>
<li>Knowledge of hosting applications on Kubernetes and utilising LLMs for AI-based automation.</li>
</ul>
