In this position...

  • We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as a Data Governance Data Business Analyst and, when necessary, a Technical Innovation resource. 

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for introducing technical innovations that enhance our team in improving users’ data capabilities and implementing our data strategy along with developing, implementing, and maintaining data governance solutions.

  • Key responsibilities include working in the GCP environment, leveraging AI solutions, conducting data analysis, collaborating with database and data platform developers to improve data governance and metadata processes, and assuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

  • To excel in the role of Data Governance Data Business Analyst, candidates should possess a strong technical background along with an extensive knowledge of data management, data analysis methodologies, and data privacy regulations. 

  • An outstanding analyst will apply their expertise to deliver accurate and dependable data governance

What you'll do...

  • Collaborate effectively as part of the Data Governance team with a range of technology, legal, and business stakeholders, both internal and external.

  • Be an active participant in the implementation and execution of Ford Credit’s Data Strategy.

  • Leverage expertise in end-to-end data processes and data governance regulatory environment to understand and assure data governance is properly applied and managed for both Ford Credit and US Bank.

  • Advance capabilities for Data Discovery through proper metadata management, discovery tools, and use of AI to enable stakeholders to more easily and quickly find the data they need and request access.

  • Assure proper data access controls are in place to support data minimization, data privacy, and business needs. Conduct access reviews and audits as required.

  • Assure proper data privacy classifications are applied to data via use of AI tools and collaboration with Data Product Owners and Data Engineering.

  • Partner with Ford GDI&A to strengthen and improve the Enterprise Data Platform so that Ford Credit can gain more business value from the platform for end users, Data Engineering, and Data Governance.

  • Review current data governance processes for improvement opportunities or propose new procedures to strengthen team and process efficiency.

  • Utilize GCP and technical skills to explore and query the data environment to provide information needed to support data governance when that information isn’t available though the EDP tools.

  • Proactive research and implementation of industry trends regarding data governance, especially those leveraging AI.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree 

  • 5+ years technical expertise working with data products (analytics, governance, dashboards, data structures)

  • Proficient with multiple aspects of data governance implementation: classification, metadata, discovery, access management

  • Experience with data privacy regulations, practices and compliance (e.g. GDPR/CCPA)

  • Proficient in SQL

  • Experience with AI usage to improve data management and governance

  • Experience with PowerBI and MS Excel

  • Proficient with GCP tools (Big Query, Dataplex)

  • Familiarity with data analysis best practices

  • Strong problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Capable of gathering information and effectively analyzing issues

 

Even better, you may have...

  • Experience with data usage in a financial and/or automotive organization

  • Understanding of data ingestion, migration, and warehousing

  • Product Management experience

  • Experience with agile software delivery

  • Demonstrated capability of operational execution and management

  • Experience in mapping both logical and physical data models

  • Practical experience implementing non-functional requirements for data management/governance solutions

  • Understanding of data modelling and architectural design

  • Experience with Data Quality.

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $85,400-$143,200.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $99,600-$166,600.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$192,900.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
