About the Role
As Data Licensing Lead, you will play a key role in managing Domain’s compliance obligations across its data licensing arrangements - especially across our key partnerships with government entities.
This role will suit someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with contracts, audit requirements, compliance controls and operational processes. You will help ensure that key obligations are understood, tracked and delivered on time.
You will work closely with stakeholders across Legal, Product, Technology, Research, Data Partnerships and external government licensors, but will be expected to take day-to-day ownership of the compliance operating rhythm. From engaging on current Government data partnerships, to supporting new data licensing arrangements, and responding to audits and client or supplier requests, your detail-oriented approach will keep things running smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on role with meaningful responsibility.
If you enjoy working with technical documents and thrive on precision and process improvement, this is a unique opportunity to work on meaningful projects across the business, in a supportive team that values independence and trust - all while opening doors to future opportunities across the business during a period of huge growth.
What You’ll Do:
Manage contracts and obligations – Monitor key contractual requirements and help ensure ongoing compliance obligations are met.
Drive compliance activities – Partner with key business stakeholders to implement and improve processes, controls and governance practices.
Coordinate audits and reviews – Support audit responses, information requests and follow-up actions across the business.
Support commercial initiatives – Assist with new data partnerships, licensing arrangements and related governance requirements.
Monitor risks and actions – Track commitments, compliance activities and remediation actions to completion.
Keep things organised – Maintain accurate records, registers, schedules and compliance documentation.
Our Ideal Person:
ESSENTIALS:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
Experience working in highly regulated environments with emphasis on contractual/legal/regulatory compliance.
Experience analysing and managing contracts, licenses and/or regulatory/legislative documents.
Strong attention to detail – you double-check your work and make sure everything is accurate.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Confidence in communicating with different teams and internal/external stakeholders.
Strong professional and technical writing skills.
A proactive and solutions-focused mindset – you see challenges as opportunities to improve.
NICE TO HAVES:
Experience with procurement processes (tenders, EOI’s, RFPs, RFT’s etc) or audits.
A background in legal, banking, compliance, or governance frameworks is a big plus!
Experience interpreting and managing contracts.
