You’ll be joining the Customer Value Management (CVM) team within CommSec, a collaborative, ideas-driven group at the centre of customer engagement. This team works across marketing, product and data to turn insights into practical actions that frontline teams can use every day, helping drive customer growth and better outcomes. From supporting campaign execution to improving data quality and enabling smarter decisions, you’ll play a hands-on role in connecting data to real business impact. Your Impact and Contribution
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in helping CommSec’s frontline teams make smarter, faster decisions using data. By translating insights into practical actions, you’ll directly influence customer engagement, campaign effectiveness, and growth outcomes, bridging the gap between data, strategy, and execution across the business.
In this role, you may expect to:
- Analyse data to uncover insights that drive customer engagement and growth
- Translate analysis into practical recommendations for frontline use (campaigns, talking points, opportunities)
- Build and maintain Power BI reporting to support decision-making
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, improving data reliability
- Partner with marketing, product, and data teams to align insights with business priorities
- Connect data across teams to create a holistic view of customer opportunities
- Support campaign execution through data preparation and insight enablement
- Contribute to a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities and initiatives.
Your Skills and Experience
You bring a strong blend of commercial thinking and data capability, with the ability to turn insights into meaningful business outcomes. You’re confident working across stakeholders, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by making a tangible impact beyond analysis. The ideal candidate to this role will bring:
- Competence in translating data into commercial insights and business outcomes
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working across frontline, marketing, product, and data teams
- Experience using Power BI and SQL to analyse and present data
- A good understanding of data structures, reporting, and data quality principles
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities from data
- A proactive, curious mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to connect multiple data points and perspectives to “join the dots”
Nice to have:
- Exposure to Power Apps
- Basic or intermediate Python
- Experience working in customer, campaign, or commercial analytics environments
