Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) helps drive CBA’s brand, reputation, and customer strategy, working closely with the business to deliver insight and creativity to engage our customers, communities, and broader stakeholders. 

This role is part of the MCA Operations and Performance team, under MCA Group Research and Insights function, a team is instrumental in creating strategies and executing projects aimed at systematically improving customer experience. Alongside the MCA data stewards, the Operations and Performance team are pivotal in implementing best practice data management within the domain, collaborating closely with process owners to deliver the strategic data management and data governance roadmaps and outcomes for all critical data elements and processes. 

This is a collaborative and intellectually curious team where people partner across disciplines, balance strategic thinking with practical outcomes, and work on initiatives that have visibility and impact across the organisation. 

Your Impact and Contribution 

Join us as a Data Management Manager within Group Research and Insights, part of Marketing and Corporate Affairs. Reporting to the Performance and Operations Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring our critical customer data is managed with care and precision.  

Partnering with process owners and subject matter experts, you'll assess and refine how we handle data, ensuring risk and compliance standards are met.  

You’ll coordinate data projects across the business, translating requirements into practical solutions and fostering alignment between technical and business teams.  Your work will enable colleagues to confidently use reliable data, protect customers by safeguarding their information, and support the bank’s reputation with sound data practices.

Your Skills & Experience 

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL or a tenured background in data analysis tools. 
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or similar. 
  • Familiarity with data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake) or data lake platforms such as AWS S3. 
  • Proficiency with data governance tools like Collibra or Alation. 
  • Understanding of data quality processes and best practices. 
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, BCBS 239) to ensure compliance and best practices. 
  • Experience coordinating projects and working in agile or similar frameworks. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
