The role helps ensure that critical data is accurate, complete, consistent, and compliant with governance standards. Working in close partnership with GPOs, IT, and business stakeholders, this position identifies data quality issues, supports remediation efforts, and contributes to the ongoing strengthening of data governance practices within the supported systems and for defined data elements, primarily financial master data. Key Responsibilities • Conduct regular data quality audits within assigned operational systems to identify data defects, control gaps, and areas of non-compliance • Partner closely with CSS Ops Directors, GPOs, business stakeholders, IT, data owners, and DMO/governance teams to align priorities, resolve data issues, and establish sustainable DMO-related processes, documentation, and ways of working. • Monitor and analyze data quality trend for in-scope data domains, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and adherence to rules defined by GPOs/business. • Own, update and maintain Data Reporting Dashboard • Identify, document, and track data quality issues, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support timely resolution • Manage/Resolve tickets opened in ServiceNow related to data quality problems • Review and ensure correctness of data load files in case of projects, before the actual data load • Support the implementation and maintenance of enterprise data governance policies, standards, and stewardship practices within assigned systems and in -scope data elements • Prepare and communicate audit findings, issue summaries, and remediation status updates to DMO organization, GPOs and other relevant stakeholders • Maintain accurate and accessible documentation related to data steward procedures, controls, and audit results • Support metadata management, lineage transparency, and cataloging activities in alignment with enterprise standards • Provide system-specific guidance and support to master data team to promote awareness of data quality expectations and good stewardship practices • Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing activities related to system-level data governance practices and tools Background and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • 3–7 years of experience in data governance, data quality, analytics, or business systems roles • Hands-on experience supporting data quality management and stewardship across ERP and operational systems such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft • Experience conducting data quality assessments, audits, control reviews, or related data validation activities • Proficiency in SQL or similar tools to validate, analyze, and troubleshoot data issues • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, analytics, and IT teams Skills and Abilities • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to interpret data quality findings and translate them into clear actions and stakeholder follow-up • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment • Experience documenting rules, controls, and issue resolution activities in a structured manner • Familiarity with data privacy, compliance, and regulatory expectations relevant to the supported domain • Experience with data integration and data migration projects is an advantage • Process Optimization: Experience or interest in leveraging automation tools (e.g., RPA) and driving process improvements • Digital Mindset: A natural curiosity for learning and leveraging new technologies. • Experience working in a federated data governance model is an advantage • Certification in data governance, data quality, or process improvement (e.g., DAMA CDMP, GreenBelt) is a plus • Experience with data visualization tools is a plus Personal Characteristics • Strong sense of ownership and accountability • Proven success working in a highly matrixed environment • Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge data quality issues constructively • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills Criteria for Performance Evaluation • Completion of planned data quality assessments and audits within established timelines • Quality and consistency of audit documentation and issue tracking • Timeliness of data issue identification, escalation, and follow-up • Reduction in recurring data quality issues within supported systems • Adherence of supported systems and in-scope data elements (Financial master data) to enterprise data governance standards and controls<div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> Corning is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and considers requests for reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable laws.
