The Data Manager for the Thrive Kansas Digital Mental Health Initiative leads multi hub data coordination and serves as the operational steward for platform generated utilization, symptom, and safety data. This role builds and maintains reliable data pipelines and validation processes, ensures secure transfers and governance, and supports dashboards and continuous quality improvement (CQI) cycles. The Data Manager partners with evaluation, implementation, and technical teams to deliver accurate, timely reporting and contributes to CMS facing deliverables in alignment with regulatory and program requirements.The Thrive Kansas Digital Mental Health Initiative is a grant funded, statewide, evidence-based digital therapeutic strategy designed to expand access to treatment for depression, substance use disorders (SUD) and other mental disorders in rural Kansas. The initiative deploys clinically validated computerized mental health interventions supported by community-based facilitation and integrated into rural primary care, behavioral health, and community settings.

Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
Nine (9) years of experience in data management, data engineering, or analytics operations supporting multiāsource datasets. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Handsāon experience with data quality frameworks, validation scripting (e.g., SQL, Python), and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Bachelorās degree in data science, information systems, public health, statistics, computer science, or related field.
Work Experience:
Experience with health research or healthcare/public health, platformāgenerated data, and safety/incident datasets.
Familiarity with HIPAA/PHI, IRB/DUA processes, and CMS reporting structures.
Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and workflow/orchestration (e.g., SQL jobs, Airflow).
Exposure to data modeling, metadata management, and version control (e.g., Git).
Experience supporting CQI, quality dashboards, or performance improvement initiatives.
Experience with data transfer methods.
Experience with access control.
Experience with data governance practices.
Experience with technical data translation.
Experience with data governance.
Experience with data quality engineering & validation.

SalaryCompensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.Ā
