When you join RadNet as a Data Migration Engineer, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.
You Will:
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools for medical imaging workflows
- Troubleshoot PACS/DICOM-related issues and ensure smooth data migration
- Collaborate with radiology IT teams to configure and optimize PACS systems
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with healthcare standards
- Document processes, workflows, and troubleshooting steps
- Provide technical support for imaging-related applications
- Understanding of DICOM data structures (Study, Series, Instance)
- Familiarity with DICOM tags and metadata
- Experience with tools like dcmdump, storescp, or DICOM viewers
- Basic familiarity with eRAD PACS UI and configuration
- Knowledge of retrieving and routing studies
- Ability to navigate logs and troubleshoot failed studies
- File handling, string parsing, and working with JSON/XML
- Use of pydicom or similar libraries for reading/modifying DICOM files
- Experience with batch processing or scripting for automation
- Writing scripts for file movement, validation, and process automation
- Familiarity with cron jobs and logging
- Writing basic SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE queries
- Experience with filtering, joins, and aggregate functions
- Comfort using psql for investigating DICOM metadata stored in the database
- Understanding of AE Titles, ports, and IP configurations in DICOM context
- Troubleshooting connectivity issues (ping, telnet, etc.)
- Navigating the filesystem
- Monitoring disk usage and file permissions
- Understanding of log rotation and system services
- Basic validation techniques for checking completeness of migrated studies
- Ability to reconcile records between source and destination systems

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Hands-on experience with DICOM and PACS systems (eRAD preferred)
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
