Data Onboarding Technician
Are you highly organised, technically curious, and great at working with people?
We're looking for a Data Onboarding Specialist to join our Auckland team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
You'll combine technical problem-solving with customer interaction, helping clients successfully onboard to our software platforms while building your experience in data, systems, and technology.
Success in this role comes from being responsive, organised, detail-focused, and comfortable communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. While you'll be working with data and technology every day, this role is just as much about coordination, structure, and customer experience as it is about technical skills.
This role is based in our Auckland office. During your onboarding and training period, you'll work primarily onsite before transitioning to a hybrid working arrangement.
What you'll be doing
Managing data onboarding and migration activities for customers implementing our software
Working directly with customers to collect information, access systems, and support smooth onboarding outcomes
Coordinating multiple projects, priorities, and timelines simultaneously
Monitoring progress and ensuring data tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
Maintaining clear documentation and updating project records across our systems
Collaborating with implementation consultants, project teams, and technical specialists
Investigating, validating, and troubleshooting customer data issues
Building a strong understanding of database structures and how data flows between systems
What we're looking for
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
1-2 years of experience in a technical, data, customer support, implementation, or software-related role, or a recent graduate eager to build a career in technology
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A naturally responsive and customer-focused approach
High attention to detail and pride in delivering accurate work
Confidence learning new systems and technical concepts
An analytical mindset and ability to work with data
Nice to have
Exposure to databases, data manipulation, or scripting (e.g. SQL, Python, PHP)
Experience with Jira or project management tools
Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, or Scrum environments
Exposure to cloud technologies or AWS
What you'll get in return
Salary between $60,000-65,000 NZD plus annual bonus opportunity
Fully subsidised Southern Cross Health Insurance
Subsidised parking via Parkable
Structured onboarding and ongoing development
Clear career growth opportunities within a global technology organisation
Hybrid working following successful onboarding and training
Modern Auckland office, including free gym and rooftop terrace
Dog-friendly workplace
