Role Overview

The AVP, Data Operations Lead will establish and manage the Krakow Data Operations Hub supporting Investment Data Operations, Client Data Operations, MDM Stewardship, Data Quality and exception management. This role is accountable for regional service delivery, operational controls, workforce management, issue escalation and stakeholder engagement across the Krakow hub.

The role will play a critical leadership position in building a scalable global operating model, improving operational transparency and aligning data operations execution with data governance, platform modernization and business data needs.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Data Operations Leadership

• Build and lead the Krakow Data Operations team with a focus on Investment Data Operations and Client Data Operations

• Manage priorities, workload allocation, performance objectives and development plans

• Establish a clear operating cadence across daily operations, weekly service reviews and management reporting

Service Delivery and Controls

• Oversee execution of Data Operations activities and workflows

• Monitor SLA, KPI and issue aging performance across the hub

• Ensure procedures, control evidence, escalation paths and remediation tracking are maintained

Stakeholder and Platform Alignment

• Partner with Data Governance, Technology, Product Owners, business data owners and global operating teams

• Support xData Platform, Data Product and AI-enabled operations initiatives as operating models mature

• Drive alignment between operational activities, stewardship expectations and platform capabilities

Continuous Improvement

• Identify automation, workflow and process simplification opportunities

• Reduce recurring data issues through root-cause analysis and sustainable remediation

• Promote standardization, transparency and operational risk awareness across the team

Additional Skills

Strong Experience In

• Global data operations or investment operations leadership

• Security Master, Benchmark, Holdings, Client Data, MDM or reference data operating models

• Service delivery management, SLA/KPI reporting, controls and issue management

• Stakeholder management across business, technology, governance and operations teams

• Operational transformation, automation and process improvement

Qualifications

Core Experience

• 8+ years of experience in financial services, data operations, investment operations, data management or related operational leadership roles

• Proven experience managing teams and leading through organizational change

• Strong background in asset management or investment data operations preferred

Technical and Functional Expertise

• Understanding of reference data, data quality, stewardship workflows and operational controls

• Experience with workflow tools, data quality reporting, operational metrics and management reporting

• Ability to translate operational issues into business impact and remediation plans

Leadership and Soft Skills

• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to influence across global teams and functions

• Execution discipline, ownership mindset and strong control orientation

Education

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Technology, Data Management or related field

• Advanced degree or relevant industry certification preferred

This role requires weekly office presence (3 days per/week)

Minimum Salary:

zł182 004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
