The internship aligns theoretical knowledge of EU, Belgian and Dutch privacy legislation with real‑world governance, operational processes, and compliance requirements.
The internship is learning‑oriented and does not require a dedicated end project, though a formal assignment or report can be arranged if required by the educational institution.

This will include:

- Learning how to assess compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Understanding and applying Belgian and Dutch sector-specific data privacy legislation.
- Developing skills to embed DPIAs into organizational governance and management systems.
- Understanding how privacy risks are identified, mitigated, monitored, and reviewed over time.
- Supporting with internal and external data and information audits.
- Strengthening professional skills in legal interpretation, structured analysis, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration.
The intern will receive structured supervision and regular feedback. If required by the educational institution, learning objectives, competencies, and assessment criteria can be formally aligned and documented.
