Data Scientist II
What's the role?
As a Data Scientist, you will work on developing data-driven solutions to improve Map and Location quality. You will combine statistical methods, machine learning, and analytical thinking to create impactful insights and tools. Ā In this role, you will:Ā- Build innovative solutions to measure and improve Map Quality using machine learning and statistical methods
- Act as a subject matter expert in statistical and experimental design for map and location quality testing processes
- Develop sampling strategies for map quality evaluation and for generating training data for ML models
- Define and implement statistical quality metrics to track and improve performance
- Design and develop data and computing tools to process data and analyze results at scale
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions
- Communicate findings and insights through presentations and written materials, including white papers
Who are you?
- A degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Quality Management Systems, or a related field
- Around 0.5ā3 years of relevant professional experience
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques, including classification and predictive analytics
- Knowledge of statistical sampling methods and experimental designĀ
- Experience working with programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, or Matlab
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to analyzing data
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbalĀ
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and contribute to shared outcomesĀ
- Good organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
