Data Scientist - VIE Contract 

  • Location: Germany, Frankfurt
  • Target start date: 01/11/2026

iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

As Data Scientist VIE within our R&D team, you’ll be in close interaction with wet-lab oriented analytical scientists.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide digital support for experimentally determined protein-protein-interaction studies. 
  • Implementation of automated digital workflows for the preparation of large sample sets, and implementation of an antigen database. 
  • Evaluation and establishment of Genedata Screener (GDS) based analysis of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) protein-protein-interaction measurements. 
  • Data analysis, interpretation and reporting of experimental results using analytical software packages and reporting in cross-functional teams.
  • Documentation of work packages, methods and results in relevant databases.
  • Developing methods and scripts to automate analysis and reporting of large data sets. 

About you

Experience:

  • Experience in handling large datasets and thorough understanding of basic biochemical and protein analytical principles.
  • Experience in data processing and visualization using Spotfire / Power BI is preferred. 
  • Experience in protein-protein-interaction techniques, ideally surface plasmon resonance (SPR). 

Soft and technical skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work in a structured and reliable manner. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in local or global interdisciplinary teams.
  • A strong interest in learning analytical protein-protein-interaction techniques in a biopharmaceutical environment. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in complex scientific or healthcare data contexts. 
  • Programming expertise with one or more programming language such as Python, R, is required. 
  • Advanced MS Office skills.

Education:

  • Master’s of Science Degree in bioinformatics, data science, biochemistry or a related field. 

Languages:

  • Excellent English language skills, German would be beneficial.
