Job Description

Team Summary:

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific (AUNZSP) is Visa's consulting division, working with Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants) on a broad range of key business initiatives including strategy, proposition development, loyalty, operational optimisation, customer engagement and overall business profitability.

VCA is made up of three services lines - Advisory, Data Science and Implementation Services, the latter being the execution arm of VCA.  Our Implementation Services teams are embedded into client sites leading short and long-term engagements delivering value primarily through execution services.  We deliver objectives from a shared value agenda but are also closely connected to the broader VCA team, sharing knowledge, and bringing the best of Visa to the client.

This is a strategic, revenue-accountable leadership role for a commercially minded builder who thrives in a fast-paced, energised environment. You will join a fast-paced and passionate team that excels at exceeding client expectations. The Delivery Director is responsible for driving measurable growth across Visa’s client portfolio by leading high-impact delivery, building standout client teams, and uncovering new opportunities to expand Visa’s value. This role requires a leader who can balance business development, human capital leadership, and execution excellence while helping shape and scale the business for the future.

What a Delivery Director does at Visa:

Business Development (20%):

  • Partner with Account Executives and Client Advisory Leads to proactively uncover growth opportunities and connect VCA value-added services to client priorities, with a clear focus on building a client value-led project pipeline.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Visa Consulting, Marketing, Account Leads, and Product to develop business cases that clearly demonstrate ROI
  • Turn strategy into commercial action by shaping integrated delivery proposals that align to client priorities, execution realities, and desired outcomes, while helping grow and strengthen the Implementation Services business.
  • Build trusted client relationships to gain deep business insight, spot emerging needs early, and translate those insights into practical opportunities for Visa / clients to expand its impact and grow revenue.

Managed Services Program Delivery (70%):

  • Design tailored Implementation Services solutions - including team design, talent planning, operating models, phased implementation, and governance oversight
  • Lead resource recruitment for Implementation Services by partnering with Talent Acquisition and external suppliers to attract, assess, and onboard high-calibre talent that will strengthen client delivery and support business growth.
  • Provide inspiring people leadership by building, coaching, and managing a high-performing and diverse team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Create strong team culture, lift capability, and maintain a sharp focus on engagement, performance, and growth across a team of 15+ people.
  • Manage stakeholders in a complex environments at senior levels – across the client and at Visa to bring subject matter expertise
  • Optimise team performance by leveraging Visa best practice, implementing robust tracking and accountability for delivery and processes
  • A portion of this role’s time will be embedded with Visa’s clients to support Delivery Leads, strengthen team culture, lift performance, and ensure delivery remains energised, responsive, and executed to the highest standards.

Internal Program Enhancement (10%):

  • Enhance the maturity and consistency of the Implementation Services delivery model and value proposition / outcomes delivered to our clients
  • Optimise internal operating rhythms to deliver productivity gains and uniformity across all programs. Document processes, key learnings and best practices in artefacts that can be reused across the team
  • Uplift the Practice Delivery models through deeper subject matter expertise and build out a knowledge base on Visa’s products and services (including advisory) to provide opportunities to support our clients through other parts of the business.

Additional Information:

This role reports to the Head of Implementation Services (Portfolio Optimisation & Operations) AUNZSP and will work closely to develop the value proposition for AU based clients. The role will be based in Melbourne strictly as this is where the clients are located, in a hybrid work environment (minimum 3 days in office per week and additional flexibility will be expected to support potential client needs).

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful:

  • Seasoned banking professional with over a decade of experience leading complex product and transformation initiatives. Deep expertise in card economics, product P&L, and lifecycle management
  • Combines strategic insight and project subject fluency to influence cross-functional stakeholders—from data specialists, technology through to marketers and product leads
  • A commercially minded leader who combines strategic insight with strong delivery fluency and can influence cross-functional stakeholders across data, technology, marketing, product, and client leadership teams.
  • Proven people leader with a strong focus on talent, culture, and performance. Brings extensive experience building high-performing teams, developing capability, and leading with pace, accountability, and care in complex environments.
  • Track record of delivering complex financial services programs while also identifying opportunities to grow scope, deepen client partnerships, and contribute to revenue and business expansion.
  • Exceptional communicator with strong stakeholder management, client engagement, and commercial acumen, backed by a growth mindset, high energy, and a passion for building businesses, people, and client outcomes.
  • Bachelor in Business, Marketing and Masters qualifications a bonus.
