Team Overview

The Enterprise Data Warehouse team within TransUnion Consumer Interactive is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a large-scale data ecosystem and associated data marts that support both transactional and analytical workloads. The platform processes billions of records and enables decision-making for executive stakeholders.

This team plays a critical role in ensuring data availability, reliability, and scalability across enterprise products and analytics.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain deployment pipelines for data warehouse applications and services to ensure consistent, reliable releases 

  • Monitor runtime environments to maintain high availability, system performance, and operational stability 

  • Execute quality assurance (QA) testing and validation of ETL/data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and integrity 

  • Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence 

  • Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to automate deployments and improve CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) workflows 

  • Participate in design and code reviews with a focus on deployment readiness, scalability, and operational impact 

  • Document deployment procedures, runtime configurations, and incident response protocols to support operational transparency and audit readiness 

  • Support incident management processes, including monitoring alerts, triaging issues, and meeting defined SLAs 

  • Drive continuous improvement in reliability, deployment efficiency, and monitoring coverage 


Required Knowledge And Experiences

What You’ll Bring: 

  • 2-4 years of experience in software development, production support, or DevOps-oriented roles; required to manage deployment pipelines and resolve runtime issues independently 

  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes; required to validate and support data pipeline operations 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; required for foundational software and systems knowledge 

 

What Will Set You Apart: 

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD frameworks and software deployment practices; preferred to ensure stable and repeatable releases 

  • Experience with system-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis; preferred to resolve production incidents and improve system reliability 

  • Exposure to system-reliability engineering (SRE) principles — accelerates improvements in uptime and operational resilience 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deployment deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

 

Required Technical Skills 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Linux environments, CLI and shell scripting (e.g., Bash) — required to automate deployments and operational tasks 

  • SQL (Structured Query Language)  — primary extract language and supports validation of data pipelines and issue diagnosis 

  • CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Harness) — required to build and maintain deployment pipelines 

 

What Will Set You Apart 

  • Ab Initio  — primary ETL development platform 

  • Experience with BI/analytics tools (e.g., TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, Apache Superset) — improves cross-functional collaboration and data validation 

  • Monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) — required for runtime observability and alerting
