Responsibilities The Opportunity The primary objective of this role is to support the Product Catalog team by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data flowing into the catalog system. The analyst will use strong SQL and data analysis skills to validate data, perform quality checks, and conduct root-cause analysis across complex data pipelines. The role also includes partnering with stakeholder teams—such as Finance—to ensure processes are well-defined, scalable, and aligned, and that catalog outputs meet downstream reporting and business needs. Your Impact As Digital Commerce Product Catalog Data Analyst your responsibilities would consist of: Ensure data quality and integrity of Product Catalog outputs used for reporting and analytics by performing routine and ad hoc SQL-based validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection across catalog data pipelines. (Accountability: Executing actions) Impacted groups: Reporting teams, Finance, Product Analytics Perform root-cause analysis on catalog data issues by tracing data lineage across upstream sources, transformation logic, and downstream outputs, and documenting findings and remediation recommendations. (Accountability: Executing actions / Providing consultation) Impacted groups: Data Engineering, Reporting teams, Finance Support Finance and reporting stakeholders by validating catalog data against financial hierarchies, category assignments, and reporting requirements, ensuring outputs meet governance and accuracy standards. (Accountability: Providing consultation / Being informed) Impacted groups: Finance, BI & Reporting teams Monitor and maintain catalog-related processes and controls, including executing predefined SQL checks, reviewing alerts, and escalating data quality risks or process breakdowns as needed. (Accountability: Executing actions) Impacted groups: Product Catalog team, Data Engineering Partner with Product and Engineering teams to provide analytical input on catalog changes, enhancements, and defect remediation, using data evidence to inform prioritization and impact assessment. (Accountability: Providing consultation) Impacted groups: Product teams, Data Engineering Document data processes, validation logic, and known data issues to improve transparency, repeatability, and stakeholder understanding of catalog behavior and limitations. (Accountability: Executing actions) Impacted groups: Reporting teams, Finance, Product teams Execute ad hoc analytical requests related to catalog data, including investigative SQL queries and exploratory analysis to answer stakeholder questions or support decision-making. (Accountability: Executing actions / Being informed) Impacted groups: Finance, Reporting teams, Product teams Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies, gaps, or risks in catalog workflows and recommending enhancements to improve robustness and scalability. (Accountability: Providing consultation) Impacted groups: Product Catalog team, Data Engineering Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Experience Advanced SQL proficiency with the ability to write complex queries for data validation, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and exploratory investigation across large, relational datasets. Strong understanding of data flows and data lineage, particularly within multi-source, multi-layer data platforms (e.g., upstream sources, transformation layers, and downstream reporting views). Process analysis and optimization skills, including the ability to evaluate existing workflows, identify failure points, and recommend controls to improve data reliability and scalability. Data quality and governance expertise, including experience defining checks, monitoring anomalies, and supporting consistent application of business rules and hierarchies. Ability to translate business requirements into analytical checks, particularly in partnership with Finance, Reporting, and Product teams. Working knowledge of product or master data concepts, such as product hierarchies, reference data, and categorization frameworks (or the ability to quickly learn these domains).
