You will also have opportunities to train and develop technical and functional capabilities – a highly valued expertise for your career development. </p> <p><strong>What to expect:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Our 20-month Digital Trainee Programme will give you insights into the various activities that take place in Digital Hub Kuala Lumpur.</li> <li>You will familiarize yourself with various topics across various systems, and how it works in the larger BASF landscape.</li> <li>Gain a comprehensive understanding of unit-specific and cross-unit tasks.</li> <li>After just a short time, you will assume responsibility for exciting projects or subprojects.</li> <li>You will be assigned to four rotations, each lasting approximately five months each.</li> <li>Upon successful completion of your rotations, you will have the opportunity to do a rotation in other Global Digital Hubs to expand your network and further develop your intercultural skills.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>The team <strong>Data Products and Semantics</strong> coordinates the creation and management of data products. Data products are reusable sets of data for enterprise-wide usage with high-quality and prepared to be fit for purpose. To ensure a smooth and solid governance and curation of data products we develop and optimize the tool Data Product FAIRway. FAIRway guides Data Product Owners through all steps of lifecycle management of a data product. Ultimately, all data product metadata are transmitted to the data catalog and build the foundation for users to explore and shop data products.</p> <p> </p> <p>As a trainee at Data Products & Semantics you will be part of the FAIRway development team and support to achieve the next milestones towards an expanded Data Ecosystem.</p> <ul> <li>You will work according to agile methodology and be integral part of planning, executing and reviewing sprint items</li> <li>You’ll hands-on develop needed components (backend or frontend) and collaborate with your colleagues to achieve the relevant steps</li> <li>You’ll contribute to improve the user experience with the tool</li> <li>As part of our strategy, we are integrating further data product platforms (e.g. for SAP-based data products) into our Data Ecosystem – you will learn and be able to work with BASF’s main data sources as they are added to the Ecosystem</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>To succeed in the role, you: </strong></p> <ul> <li> <div>A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, Business Informatics, or a related field.</div> </li> <li> <div>Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.</div> </li> <li> <div>Basic programming skills in Python.</div> </li> <li> <div>Understanding of modern front-end development concepts and frameworks (e.g., Vue.js).</div> </li> <li> <div>Basic knowledge of API integration and web services.</div> </li> <li> <div>Basic understanding of cloud technologies and software architecture concepts.</div> </li> <li> <div>Strong learning agility, a positive attitude, and a growth mindset.</div> </li> <li> <div>Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.</div> </li> <li> <div>Passion for technology, software engineering, and continuous learning.</div> </li> </ul><p style="line-height:normal;margin:0.0cm 0.0cm 10.0pt;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif"><strong><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black"><span class="normaltextrun"><em><span style="background-color:white">At BASF, we create chemistry for a sustainable future. </span></em></span><em>We combine economic success with environmental protection and social responsibility.
