Own Specialty's voice on Frontier: ensure our requirements are heard, documented, and built correctly across a multi-year transformation Become the expert on all Specialty rating programs: coverages, rating structures, data definitions, and pipelines Own end-to-end pricing design and modeling for Condo and RV programs Connect the dots across Product, Technology, Delivery, and Actuarial teams: keep work moving and surface problems early Research emerging modeling techniques, test new variables, and identify data sources that sharpen our competitive edge Contribute to high-impact modeling and analytical work across the Specialty portfolio Tell the story: communicate complex technical work clearly to senior leaders and cross-functional partners Manage, coach, and develop a team of 3-5 data scientists You're energized by complex problems and equally comfortable in model details and executive conversations You don't wait to be told what to do, you figure out what needs to happen and make it happen You thrive in ambiguity and pick up new domains faster than most You have personal lines insurance experience and hands-on modeling skills (Python, SAS, Emblem) You are able to collaborate and achieve alignment across large cross-functional teams You know how to build and sustain a high-performing team culture 6-8 years of relevant insurance experience preferred Proficiency in predictive modeling tools (e.g., Python, SAS, Emblem, Excel) Strong understanding of data sources, rating systems, and Specialty Lines business context (lines, systems, pricing plans) Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly: verbally, visually, and in writing across varied audiences and stakeholder levels Skilled at building relationships and driving alignment across large, cross-functional teams Ability to use data and analysis to influence teams, department heads, and senior leadership Value-driven mindset with strong awareness of business context and impact Proactively challenges the status quo and identifies opportunities to improve team and organizational capabilities Deep knowledge of predictive analytic techniques and statistical diagnostics of models. Expert knowledge of predictive toolset, to include highly technical tools. Proven ability to lead and drive projects and assignments to completion through others, to include prior experience effectively managing talent. Demonstrated ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely, verbally, visually (presentations and exhibits), and in writing, consistent with the audiences and stakeholders with which s/he interacts. Ability to establish and build relationships within and outside the aligned functional area or SBU. Ability to give effective training and presentations to management and other groups. Presents to senior or functional department leaders or executives. Broad knowledge of business drivers and market context. Has a value driven perspective with regard to understanding of work context and impact. Competencies typically acquired through an advanced degree (in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or other relevant field of study) and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience or may be acquired through a Bachelor`s degree (scientific field of study) with 10 years of relevant experience.
