This role is accountable for delivering a unified, scalable, and AI-ready data platform that supports business intelligence, operational automation, and executive decision-making across the organization.</p> <p>This position requires a proven leader with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform — someone who has successfully translated complex data architecture challenges into practical, high-value enterprise solutions. The Director will operate at the intersection of technology, strategy, and people leadership, partnering closely with business unit leaders, IT operations teams, and executive stakeholders.</p> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></h1> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Data Platform Architecture and Delivery</span></h2> <ul> <li>Design, deploy, and govern enterprise-grade data models using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage.</li> <li>Establish and maintain a unified lakehouse architecture that supports real-time and batch processing at enterprise scale.</li> <li>Lead the end-to-end development of semantic models, dimensional frameworks, and data pipelines that serve reporting, analytics, and AI workloads.</li> <li>Ensure data platform reliability, performance, and cost optimization across Azure environments.</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Power Platform and Process Automation</span></h2> <ul> <li>Oversee the design and deployment of Power Platform solutions (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) that automate core business processes and surface actionable insights.</li> <li>Define standards for Power BI report and dashboard development, including row-level security, certified datasets, and deployment pipelines.</li> <li>Champion the governance and scalability of citizen development programs within Power Platform, ensuring shadow IT risk is managed through governed pathways.</li> <li>Identify and eliminate manual data processes through intelligent automation strategies.</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Artificial Intelligence Integration</span></h2> <ul> <li>Lead the integration of AI and machine learning capabilities into the data platform, including Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI Service, and custom ML models deployed via Azure Machine Learning.</li> <li>Define the AI readiness posture of enterprise data assets — ensuring data quality, lineage, and accessibility meet the requirements of AI-driven consumption.</li> <li>Collaborate with Enterprise IT leadership to develop and execute an AI-augmented analytics roadmap aligned with New Era Technology's strategic objectives.</li> <li>Evaluate and recommend emerging AI and data tooling to ensure New Era Technology maintains a competitive and forward-looking data capability.</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Data Governance and Quality</span></h2> <ul> <li>Establish and enforce enterprise data governance policies, including data ownership, stewardship, classification, and lifecycle management.</li> <li>Implement data quality frameworks and monitoring processes that ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of enterprise data assets.</li> <li>Manage Microsoft Purview or equivalent governance tooling to maintain a comprehensive data catalog and support regulatory and audit requirements.</li> <li>Define and track key data quality metrics, escalating and remediating issues in partnership with domain owners.</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Leadership and Organizational Development</span></h2> <ul> <li>Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing data management team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.</li> <li>Establish performance expectations, career development pathways, and coaching frameworks for direct reports and extended data team members.</li> <li>Operate as a strategic partner to business unit leaders, translating data needs into technical roadmaps and delivering style="font-size: 12pt;">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</span></h1> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience</span></h2> <ul> <li>Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in data management, business intelligence, or enterprise data architecture.</li> <li>Five (5) or more years in a director-level or senior leadership role with direct people management responsibility.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience designing and deploying enterprise data models, semantic layers, and analytical data platforms.</li> <li>Proven track record leading data platform initiatives in complex, multi-entity, or post-merger organizational environments.</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Technical Proficiency</span></h2> <ul> <li>Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, and Real-Time Analytics workloads.</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure data services: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Databricks, and Azure Machine Learning.</li> <li>Expert-level Power Platform knowledge across Power BI (including DAX, data modeling, deployment pipelines), Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.</li> <li>Working knowledge of AI and ML integration patterns within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure OpenAI Service and Microsoft Copilot extensibility.</li> <li>Proficiency in SQL, Python, or equivalent languages for data engineering and transformation workloads.</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Systems Integration</span></h2> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience integrating Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Business Central with Professional Services Automation (PSA) platforms, including ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise Automate, or CheckHub, across data ingestion, synchronization, and reporting layers.</li> <li>Experience designing and maintaining bi-directional data flows between ERP systems (Business Central) and PSA platforms, ensuring consistency of financial, project, and service delivery data across system boundaries.</li> <li>Proficiency with API-based and ETL/ELT integration patterns, including Azure Data Factory pipelines, Logic Apps, and Power Automate flows that connect line-of-business applications to the enterprise data platform.</li> <li>Hands-on experience integrating enterprise analytics and financial planning tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning with Azure-hosted data environments, including model mapping, actuals feeds, and scenario data synchronization.</li> <li>Familiarity with common integration middleware, iPaaS platforms, and data virtualization approaches used to bridge cloud-native and legacy business systems in managed services or multi-entity environments.</li> </ul> This role carries broad organizational influence and is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining alignment with the strategic priorities of the Enterprise IT function.</p> <p>New Era Technology operates in a dynamic, high-growth environment shaped by ongoing acquisition activity, systems consolidation, and an aggressive AI transformation agenda. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, capable of establishing structure where none exists, and energized by the opportunity to build lasting data capability at scale.</p> <p>This role may include management of internal staff, external contractors, and strategic vendor relationships.
