Being the Leader Communities Need in Moments of Crisis.
About Us
CarePoint Response, Inc. (CPR) is a nationally recognized nonprofit and Baltimore’s only comprehensive crisis response system. Since 1992, we’ve been at the forefront of behavioral health crisis care — providing timely, community-based services for individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Mobile Crisis Director to provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight for our Mobile Response Services Program. In this role, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team delivering 24/7 crisis intervention services throughout Baltimore City and Baltimore County, ensuring individuals experiencing behavioral health crises receive timely, compassionate, and effective care. You will collaborate with community partners, healthcare providers, emergency services, and behavioral health systems to promote continuity of care and strengthen crisis response efforts across the region.
This is more than a leadership position—it is an opportunity to shape crisis services, mentor and develop clinical teams, drive quality improvement initiatives, and help individuals access life-changing support during their most vulnerable moments. As Mobile Crisis Director, you will play a critical role in advancing community-based behavioral health services and improving outcomes for individuals and families in crisis.
What You’ll Do
- Provide overall leadership, management, and oversight of 24/7/365 Mobile Crisis Response Services across Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
- Ensure timely and effective coordination with Call Center, Nursing, Clinical, and Crisis Response teams to facilitate rapid response to referrals and service requests.
- Supervise department leadership and staff, ensuring regular supervision, performance evaluations, professional development, and compliance with training requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state, local, accreditation, and Greater Baltimore Regional Crisis standards governing crisis response and behavioral health services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives, policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor clinical documentation, service utilization, outcome data, and reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely submission of required reports.
- Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, scheduling, and timekeeping processes for Mobile Crisis staff.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with behavioral health authorities, hospitals, law enforcement agencies, outpatient providers, community organizations, referral sources, and regional crisis partners.
- Participate in community outreach, public education, crisis intervention training, critical incident response, debriefings, and other activities that support awareness and access to crisis services.
- Oversee operational resources, technology systems, authorizations, data management, and program enhancements to support efficient service delivery and organizational objectives.
- Serve as an on-call leader and perform other duties as assigned to support the mission, goals, and strategic priorities of the organization.
