Job Summary
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for conducting project controls activities - including cost, schedule, and performance analysis - on distribution programs and projects. These responsibilities include input of budgets within the AEP corporate systems; providing ongoing forecast updates and variance analysis at the program and project levels; input and tracking of key performance indicators; and working collaboratively with project teams to implement project management best practices throughout the project lifecycle. This position will also be responsible for having direct interface in coordinating with external contractors and vendors to integrate these parties into the overall project budget and schedule.Job Description

What you’ll do:
Essential Job Functions & Tasks
- Collaborate with project managers, distribution managers, and engineering to develop project work plans, project schedules, and cost estimates.
- Support development and entry of program and project level budgets into the AEP corporate budgeting system in accordance with all company processes.
- Maintain ongoing analysis of project actuals versus budget to generate variance reporting and recommendations to increase the likelihood of project success.
- Administer the change management process associated with programs and projects to properly characterize changes to the project and assess the impact on the project objectives.
- Support development and administration of the key performance indicators [KPI's] for programs and projects and ensure alignment between the metrics and the project objectives.
- Prepare, issue, and present periodic project performance reports that informs management of cost, schedule, risk, and productivity performance on the project and corresponding analysis.
- Interact with key contractors, vendors, and suppliers associated with the programs and projects to obtain all project performance related data and integrate into a total project performance analysis.
- May perform other job duties upon request.

- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or project management from an accredited college or related technical field OR an Associate's degree in a related technical field from an accredited college with two (2) years of related experience.
Work Experience requirement listed below:

Other preferences:
- Physical demand level is Sedentary
- Project Management/Project Controls certifications' from accredited organizations such as PMI, AACE a plus.
- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills required
- Demonstrated analytical skills working in Microsoft Excel and a database environment required
- Exposure to corporate accounting and project cost management systems a plus
- Exposure to construction environment a plus
- Exposure to earned value management a plus
- Exposure to work management and/or scheduling systems a plus
What you’ll get:
Base Salary from $63,496-$79,369/year.

$63,496.00 - $93,188.50The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
