Expected salary range of $128,700 to $143,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of Position
- Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Power plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
- The Generation OT Compliance Engineer will ensure Constellation adheres to all applicable generation regulatory compliance requirements, including but not limited to NERC CIP for medium impact BES Cyber Systems and NERC Operations and Planning.
- Interfaces with groups throughout the organization including Power, IT, Engineering, and Corporate Security. Ensure that regulatory compliance activities are performed in compliance with applicable procedures, standards and requirements. Identifies and provides recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing various assessments.
- Must develop a strong technical understanding of the generation regulatory rules, as well as participate in the forums where they are discussed. Recommend corrective actions to address inadequacies as discovered, while ensuring cross-functional and cross-team alignment of processes and procedures to ensure future compliance.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of the generation NERC regulatory rules, as well as participate in the forums where they are discussed.
- Implement NERC Standards, programs, processes, procedures and best practices in support of the Constellation NERC CIP and O&P programs and medium and low impact BES Cyber Systems. Example - performing security patching to in scope cyber assets in accordance with established procedures and perform vulnerability assessments and mitigate as necessary.
- Perform necessary reviews and provide necessary documentation and evidence to verify assigned NERC Standards Requirements and measures are met to ensure compliance.
- Ability to communicate, verbally and written, expertise to team members in the form of reports, procedures and proposals.
- Recommend corrective actions to address inadequacies as discovered, while ensuring cross-functional and cross-team alignment of processes and procedures to ensure future compliance.
- Strong knowledge of industrial DCS, SCADA & OT cyber assets and networking, with a demonstrated ability to interface OT devices with industrial control systems.
- Ensure necessary work activities for NERC Compliance are initiated in the Work Management system, executed using procedures and tracked in systems with documented completion evidence.
- Participate in compliance audits. Plan, prepare and execute audit tasks and support audit teams.
- Participates in cyber drills and actual cyber events.
- Provide analysis and support to leadership for the NERC Compliance program including ongoing reporting of performance improvements, organizational initiatives and compliance related communications.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Engineering Technology, etc) and 6 years of related industry experience OR
- Associate's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science Engineering, Engineering Technology, etc) and 8 years of related industry experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 9 years of power or related industry experience with 6 of the 9 years at the exempt-level
- Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems required for the specific functional area
- Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience/expertise of implementation of ISO, NERC and TSA Gas Standards and associated tasks for generation Facilities
Prior experience at power generation stations is highly desirable.
Ability to analyze, interpret, and determine compliance requirements associated with ISO, NERC, TSA Gas and Regional Standards and other related federal, state and local licensing processes, procedures and agency
Experience and knowledge with ISO, NERC and TSA Gas Standards and associated tasks for generation Facilities.
General knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform assignments for a specific discipline, various installations, or services
5-years experience working in any combination of generation plant, electric utility transmission, operations, regulatory, legal or financial disciplines
Ability to multi-task and work with teams and independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment, under deadline pressure with external and internal partners at all levels.
