Koniag Management Solutions LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect/Business Analyst with the Secret security clearance to support KMS and our government customer in Huntsville, AL. This is an onsite position.

The Enterprise Architect/Business Analyst will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, responsible for designing enterprise-wide architecture strategies while simultaneously analyzing and documenting business processes and functional requirements. This individual will work closely with leadership, program managers, system developers, and end users to ensure that technology investments align with mission objectives and organizational strategy.
Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts, including current-state and future-state architecture roadmaps, in alignment with organizational strategy and industry frameworks such as TOGAF or FEAF.
Conduct business process modeling activities using industry-standard notations such as BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to document, analyze, and optimize existing and proposed workflows.
Lead functional requirements analysis sessions with business stakeholders, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable, and measurable functional and non-functional requirements.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and joint application design (JAD) sessions with stakeholders to elicit, validate, and prioritize business and technical requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), use cases, user stories, process flow diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
Analyze existing systems, applications, and infrastructure to identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for modernization or consolidation.
Define and document integration patterns, data flows, and system interfaces to ensure interoperability across enterprise platforms and applications.
Collaborate with development and engineering teams to ensure that architectural designs and business requirements are accurately understood and implemented.
Support the development of enterprise data architecture strategies, including data governance, data standards, and data lifecycle management.
Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations on their potential impact and applicability to the organization's enterprise architecture.
Contribute to the development of technology standards, policies, and governance frameworks to guide consistent and compliant system development and procurement decisions.
Operate within an Agile development environment while also satisfying Waterfall-style project stage gates as required by government customers.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of enterprise architecture and business analysis practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, infrastructure, development, and operations to ensure holistic and well-integrated architecture solutions.
Track and manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle using a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).

Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
7+ years of combined experience in Enterprise Architecture and/or Business Analysis roles.
Demonstrated experience conducting business process modeling and functional requirements analysis on large-scale IT projects.
Experience working in or supporting a federal government or public sector IT environment.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional communication skills in English – both written and oral – with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences including executives, technical staff, and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in business process modeling using BPMN 2.0 or equivalent notations, with experience using tools such as Visio or similar diagramming platforms.
Strong functional requirements analysis skills, including the ability to elicit, document, validate, and manage requirements throughout the full project lifecycle.
Demonstrated experience developing enterprise architecture artifacts such as architecture roadmaps, capability models, system context diagrams, and integration diagrams.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, FEAF, or the Zachman Framework.
Experience developing and maintaining core BA documentation including BRDs, FRDs, use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
Ability to develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) to ensure alignment between business needs, functional requirements, and delivered solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information and identify actionable insights.
Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, interviews, and requirements elicitation sessions.
Knowledge of system integration concepts, including APIs, web services, and middleware platforms.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment under the direction of program leadership.
Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology, especially Scrum, as well as experience operating in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.
