What will you do as an Experienced Software Test Engineer?

In this role, your primary focus will be on driving test automation and securing the quality of our advanced video analytics and AI software. Testing AI introduces distinct paradigms compared to traditional software: while structured validation and automated regression testing remain vital, you must also navigate the probabilistic nature of machine learning models.  

Your tasks will include:

  • Designing, developing, and executing strategies to test complex AI functionality, understanding how neural networks behave, the critical impact of training and test data, and applying a scientific and statistical approach to validation. 

  • Developing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, test environments, and CI/CD integrations. 

  • Implementing both functional and non-functional test cases (manual and automated) tailored to computer vision and video analytics. 

  • Providing support and sharing your expertise with colleagues looking to implement automation and advanced testing practices. 

  • Analyzing logs, test metrics, and performance results to troubleshoot and verify bug fixes. 

  • Collaborating directly with developers, users, and stakeholders to understand emerging AI technologies and requirements.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven engineer with a strong technical background and a genuine interest in software quality and artificial intelligence. You possess a scientific and analytical mindset, understanding what separates AI testing from traditional software testing as well as what remains the same. You are proactive, take responsibility, and genuinely enjoy collaborating and sharing knowledge. 

We'd love to hear that you have:  

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field. 

  • Solid professional experience in software testing, test automation, and test framework development. 

  • A strong grasp of AI and machine learning concepts—specifically how AI models and neural networks work, the importance of data quality/diversity, and statistical approaches to evaluating model performance. 

  • Strong programming skills with very good knowledge of Python (experience with pytest is a strong plus), alongside familiarity with other programming and scripting languages. 

  • Practical experience working in a Linux environment, version control (GIT), APIs, databases, and CI/CD contexts (such as Jenkins and Docker). 

  • Good understanding of network communication, protocols (such as RTSP and HTTP), and embedded systems. 

  • Fluency in English, with good communication skills. Knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
