You lead the deepest technical work on strategic deals increasingly centered on AI and GenAI workloads on Postgres while operating credibly at the enterprise and CxO level. You are equal parts hands-on architect and trusted executive advisor.</p> </div> </div> <p><strong>What your impact will be…</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Own the technical track.</strong> Own the full technical track on qualified EMEA Analytics and AI opportunities from the first architecture call through to the technical win, with nothing handed back.</li> <li><strong>Lead on AI.</strong> Lead the technical motion on AI and GenAI use cases on Postgres vector search, retrieval, RAG, and agentic workloads turning emerging customer demand into solutions that win.</li> <li><strong>Lead POCs &amp; sizing.</strong> Run proofs of concept, benchmarks, and sizing, including services scoping and complex migrations.</li> <li><strong>Architect &amp; position.</strong> Design reference architectures and frame EDB's technical differentiation clearly and confidently in competitive situations.</li> <li><strong>Advise the CxO.</strong> Operate at the enterprise and CxO level executive advisory, thought leadership, and board-level positioning on strategic accounts.</li> <li><strong>Build playbooks.</strong> Document every deal motion into playbooks, reference architectures, and demos so any SE in the regional org can recognize and flag the next opportunity. We multiply the field we do not replace it.</li> <li><strong>Run Open Hours.</strong> Co-host the weekly Analytics &amp; AI Open Hours for EMEA, delivering real-time enablement, market intel, and field coaching to sellers and SEs.</li> <li><strong>Feed the roadmap.</strong> Close the loop to Product and Engineering turning deal pain into a roadmap signal through the weekly win/loss feedback cycle.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you will bring…</strong></p> <p><em>This is a senior, technically deep field role. You are likely a strong fit if you bring most of the following:</em></p> <p><strong>Technical skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>8+ years of deep hands-on expertise with Postgres and data platforms analytical and OLAP workloads, data warehousing, and operational data systems.</li> <li>Real, current experience designing AI and GenAI solutions on data platforms: vector search, embeddings, retrieval and RAG, and emerging agentic patterns. You can build these, not just talk about them.</li> <li>Proven ability to lead POCs, benchmarks, sizing, and complex migrations end-to-end, and to design reference architectures customers trust.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Market knowledge</strong></p> <ul> <li>A current, well-formed view of the analytics and AI data landscape where the market is heading, what enterprises are actually buying, and how EDB differentiates. Awareness of the broader competitive landscape, without needing to lead with it.</li> <li>Fluency operating across European markets, including the buying patterns, regulatory context, and industry dynamics of the region.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience working with CxO level</strong></p> <ul> <li>A strong track record in pre-sales, solutions-architect, or field-CTO roles on enterprise data and AI deals built over many years in customer-facing technical leadership.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience engaging at the CxO and board level you can earn the trust of a CTO or CDO, advise on strategy, and hold the room as the senior technical voice on a strategic account.</li> <li>Comfort being both the deepest technical hands on the deal and the executive in the conversation, and the discipline to document and share what you learn so the wider field benefits.</li> <li>Willingness to travel across EMEA as deals demand.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 11pt;">EDB is committed to supporting our employees' overall well being by offering a range of benefits and resources to promote a healthy work-life balance and wellness.
