Finance Analyst
We are growing fast and looking for a dynamic Finance Analyst to help manage and maintain relevant financials and commercial leasing arrangements across the organisation.
This role is responsible for supporting the Management Accounting team through the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial information to facilitate effective business decision-making. The role includes completing month-end close activities, preparing and reviewing profit and loss statements, analysing variances against budget and forecast, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and investigating reconciling items. The Finance Analyst partners with stakeholders across the business to communicate financial insights, improve financial performance, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while maintaining strong attention to detail and organisational skills consistently.
Role Purpose
- To work as part of the Management Accounting team to achieve the completion of an accurate and timely month-end close to assist key stakeholders with decision making.
- To analyse monthly results and partner with various stakeholders across the business to identify favourable and unfavourable variances against forecast and advise stakeholders on areas for improvement.
- Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including investigation of material reconciling items
Responsibilities
- Prepare and finalise monthly profit and loss (P&L) statements for venues
- Analysis of monthly venue profit and loss statements
- Review and analyse labour costs and operating expense accruals
- Analyse monthly P&L results and explain variances against budget
- Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders
- Communicate financial insights and findings to key stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and finance team members
- Review weekly P&L performance against budget and identify variances
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate/reconcile material variances

Experience and Background
- Bachelor’s degree majoring in finance
- A minimum of 12 months of practical experience within a large or mid-tier accounting firm or a similar role in industry
- Studying towards CA or CPA preferred
Salary range from $85,000 to $95,000 depending on experience.
